Once again Chris done a top notch job! Really do enjoy all of your videos. You seem to take cars which, for most people in the UK, are a complete dream and a life away, However you seem to bring them down to our level and explain them in a way that most can relate to and enjoy.

As commented previously, love how you use the harness and the 3 point in the RS, because lets face it, whos going to put the harness on to go and get some milk?

For me, its got to be the 911 GT3 RS 4.0 . Its just such an animal of a car and something that even if your not a car person, you know its special! The other two, if the average joe saw that theyd probably think your someone having a midlife crisis who sprayed their car a funky colour and stuck a big ironing board on the back biggrin

Keep up the good work!

Quality, and on some roads I have enjoyed many times. Not been out on the track yet, but I will soon!
Loved the snowy backdrop, and view over the sea, been there when you can't see the end of your bonnet. R8 and Gallardo might make interesting comparison with the RS.

Superb video. Absolutely outstanding stuff. Production quality and content all top notch.

I'd still rather a Caterham than any of those but that's me. 35k miles in mine much of it as an only car and it really wasn't *that* bad.

But for softies these do make a nice alternative :-) I'd take the RS every time.

Brilliant. Just watched this with Mrs S, who also enjoys such stuff. Her comment at the end...."he's just a big kid"! laugh

Thanks Chris, another fantastic video!

I'd be interested to know - given the Merc is the only one of the three without "scafolding" where the rear seats were, does the chassis feel any any less stiff as a result?

Clearly theres only a tenth of a second between the C63 and the M3 in terms of pure lap time, so is the extra hardware actually contributing to the handling?

These road/track tests so put the top gear caravan blowing up drivel to shame. All you would have seen on top gear would have been clarkson going sideways badly for the whole clip and May pottering around in the merc with the little lad sat on a booster seat somewhere in between in the BM.

Generally speaking, I'm not a Porsche bloke, They really don't float my dirigible. But, having watched this video, I totally get what Chris sees in that car.
Same for me. Really not a porsche fan at all but that vid explained and sold the car so well that it made me quite want one now.

Really enjoyed the whole video, great commentary and info, three really interesting cars and some good noise.

Would have liked to see more of the three cars actually driving together for comparison but guessing this wasn't really possible if you didn't convoy to the circuit together and perhaps could only have one on track at a time?

Impressed with the empty track and the weather as well, looked like you picked a near perfect day for it smile

Another great video Chris

This is what I like, someone showing all sides of cars I'd love to, but are unlikely to own. From my own (un-knowledgeable) views on those cars I would have come to the same conclusion. For me the GT3 RS is just an amazing piece of kit, and something I can only dream of owning (never mind a 4.0)

Another lovely video. Please keep them coming...

Thought the tracking shots whilst drifting were ace. Good work Neil.

Sorry but the rear spoilers on all three look just completely at odds with the design and styling of the rest of the car. Not far from the 'driven through Halfords' and max power brigade. Do they even actually do anything or are they something the marketing departments insisted on alongside the silly low profile rubber.

It would be enough to put me off all three of them.

The last good looking rear on a GT3 was the 997 Mk1

However good they are it would be financial madness to buy the Merc or M3 new vs the GT3. No wonder they hardly sold any and I bet those were mainly dealer cars.

Also i don't see the point in expensive 4 door saloons as performance / track cars. They just end up compromised for the road and expensive / too heavy to enjoy on track. Just get a standard M3 and a Caterham with money to spare.

In what way does the gt3 feel compromised over a track only based version?? It seems to fit the role so well.

Struggling a little with the other two to justify the difference over the standard car. Although the black does look incredible.

Without the inertia reel done-up, the no-belt buzzer rang and ruined the incar audio.
So you haven't discovered the "loop the belt round the back of the seat & plug it in" trick yet Chris wink

Loved the vid, btw rotate
