RE: Chris Harris video: RS 4.0 vs C63 Black vs M3 GTS
Discussion
By far the best produced film yet, well done to the team. Looks like it was a lot of fun to make too, which made it fun to watch.
As for the cars, for me it's the Merc - i would have said that before seeing the film but the fact it's the best behaved on the road reinforces my decision. It is after all where i do all of my driving.

Still can't wrap my head round the M3 GTS price.... how can they justify that kind of money for the few additions they made? Did BMW charge that price just because they sort of could......
Anyway another thoroughly enjoyable video by the man Harris!
Maybe they were going for the reassuringly expensive angle - it must be good because it costs so much.Anyway another thoroughly enjoyable video by the man Harris!
I don't blame them for making it, but i really don't understand why buyers don't just pay a specialist to build them one out of a standard M3 - it would cost less and they'd have a more bespoke car. They could probably coax more hp out of it too, without resorting to re-boring.

My thoughts exactly. For the extra money BMW were asking you could make E92 M3 you always wanted. Very much a marketing ploy by the 'suits' of BMW if you ask me. Still great car and like Harris said the world would be a worse place without it. Absolutely love that GT3. Seems so much more at home and alive on track than the other two. But the interior for the Mercedes looks like a much more comfotable place to sit on long haul.
For me if I was just looking for a car to get me to a track it'd be the GT3 without question but if I were looking for a car that might possibly get daily use for periods it might be the AMG. Provided it can handle the odd pothole.

Fantastic video - throroughly enjoyed it.
Not sure if it's just Youtube being 'special' but there are some really, really annoying framerate/framedrop issues (almost always on the road sections for some reason) which were begining to give me a headache tho. The fact the soundtrack stayed in-sync suggests the problem may be in the source material!?
It would take more than that to spoil the material tho *heads off to find painkillers*

It's the roads that did it for me. I recall having some great drives on them in a rented Ferrari 360 and my own CSL.
I've moved to Sydney, Australia recently and yes it's everything great you've heard BUT... rubbish if you truly like 'swift driving'.
They think 70mph is going really really fast on public roads!

Without the inertia reel done-up, the no-belt buzzer rang and ruined the incar audio.
Ha - I always wondered whether the 997 GT3 CS I ordered would do that (never got the car due to euro exchange rate) But my exige does the same thing - however if you disconnect the bullet connector on the buckle side under the seat the warning light thinks it is plugged in permanently! Great vid - The boy can pedal!! As an Evo subscriber I was a bit peeved to see Mr Harris leave but the vids he's doing here are great. Long may it continue.
BTW - Isn't this what a certain TV 'motoring'show has been lacking? Can PH TV not mount a coup for a Sunday night (8pm ish) BBC2 spot?
