Whereas the CLK Black is twice the car a standard CLK C63 [*****in my opinion***] as the proportions of the standard one look plain wrong. The amount of bodywork between the rear arches and bottom of C Pillars for example makes it look odd. It’s a great car but looks wrong in my opinion – looks too much like a CLK200CDI. But the Black Series looks amazing with it flared arches etc - its worth the sticker price for the looks along [as the previous model CLK Black]! And they now have looks to match the noise and performance it makes whereas the ‘standard’ ones don’t. I know some people want this in the standard one, ultra subtle looks & monster performance, so I am not slagging the car or anything.
911 GT3 4.0 – again, a totally amazing car in every way – but I would want one without the silly stickers and would like to have it in a solid colour –black with black wheels please. I’m sure Porsche would do this for you – what’s another £20k getting it sprayed black when you are spending near 200k on it anyway 

erm - that's exactly why people pay over the odds and it's not exactly rocket science is it??There are only X cars, if you want one you have to pay what the market asks and if you're selling you're a berk to price lower (someone can always bid you lower - it's a free country and all that - never mistake sticker price for 'value').

Seriously, I would have rather seen an on board lap with correct sound of every car too, assume Go Pro auto iris bleached out forward facing? Also some of the road shots are sped up aren't they - they glitch which means they didn't speed the shot divisible by 25 fps..

Please noI enjoyed the fact you had fun in 3 special cars but sorry Harris this video worst one yet. It promised so much yet delivered little in way of explaining the differences good or bad between all three other than fun factor and traction but way was they fun? fun in relation to each other or its lesser run of the mill brothers? was electronics interfering? was any car better or worse for certain types corners long or short?

I ask because pretty much all cars depreciate with extremely very few exceptions.....McLaren F1, Ferrari F40.....so i was surprised that the 997 GT3 RS 4.0 actually appreciating in value. I mean what cars currently on sale are actually APPRECIATING....? I was just surprised because if you look at 996 GT3/996 GT3 RS these depreciate like any other 911 though maybe at a slower rate of depreciation given the much more exclusivity nature of the road cars in question.
An example of a rare car would be the M3 CSL....this depreciated from launch and prices have kind of stabilised now. Just because a road car is rare does not automatically guarantee the value will appreciate in future. Though prices for the M3 CSL may well do given time.

Because porscheophiles are stark raving mad. But bully for anyone who's got a 4.0RS because they'll make a packet on it. Presumably CH is offering to put new tyres on his for £190k
However an interesting point was raised about these three 'specials' concerning what you get for the extra cost over the models they are based on. That would make for a very interesting comparison video, C63 Black vs C63, 3.8 GT3RS vs 4.0 GT3 RS and regular M3 vs M3 GTS. I bet the 3.8 RS is less than 3 seconds slower than the 4.0RS, especially round Anglesey, for starters.

I reckon the standard E92 M3 would do very well on performance/value for money stakes if you take say a 2 year old car, something that is relevant for most.The Pits said:

Yes this would be very very interesting comparison for the future.I am pretty sure the 3.8 litre version of the GT3 RS would be quicker than the BMW and Mercedes-Benz tested here.

20k for an M3 with that milage sounds like a bargain! Cat D?GT3 for me every time..but...
I've just bought an E92, totally standard, manual, mint for £20k With a £4k Aprovic exhaust it will put out the same power as a GTS. How about a £25k test.
I agree about the fuel consumption though, my old E39 M5 was more economical!!

In the GT3 you have to use both in order to avoid the "ding dong" going off for not wearing the seatbelt. I use a little dummy to put into the seatbelt clamp to avoid it when i wear the harness.

At risk of feeding the obvious troll, it would go very fast for about 35-40 miles then go off to refuel and cool down for a bit. Indeed - for cost of ownership on a track you should actually be comparing that one with a 458 Italia... [It certainly doesn't belong in this comparison though, so lets keep this st off of this thread shall we - it already has far too many others dedicated to that particular debate]
