Great news that its going into production! The price will be steep as noted and even then they'll lose money on it, but the car world needs more individuality and this has it in spades. If i had the cash burning a hole in my pocket i would be signing onto the waiting list.

Love the car, especially in a nutter-mobile, matt black bat mobile kinda way.
And 3 words for Nissan: Pure. Marketing. Genuis.

Firm orders for '3'! Limited run - how many? Guess price £125k? Balls for doing it. But can I afford it? No, how many can? However, this is going to be built, I can afford it, the most mental in the final line - said to be shown in less than 2 weeks time. MINI GP2. Apparently stripped out, rear cage, more bhp, limited, numbered, nothing not to love for me. 'course it will be hated on PHs. That's half the enjoyment!

Why would somthing that's stripped out, with a rear cage, and more bhp be hated by PH? Looks awesome to me.

I realy wish more car makers would do things like this and the Clio V6.
Every few years let a group of engineers go mental, build whatever they want, make 500 of them and sell them to a few people who want somethign stupid. Huge marketing, much cheaper than motorsport and allot more fun! It dosen't have to be £100k sillyness, it can be much cheaper Clio V6 type sillyness, but that car probably sold more low spec clios to car lovers than all the millions of pounds p***ed up the wall in F1.

Is asking Ray Mallock to make three cars really classed as 'production'? Surely that doesn't count.

First the DeltaWing tie up is confirmed and now there's a Juke R road car. It must be something they're putting in the water.

I love the fact that Nissan take their customers seriously and are willing to put a concept vehicle into production, simply based on consumer demand.
If Jag had the same attitude, we would've seen the F-Type over a decade ago.

And I love it and that Nissan are basically saying WTF, let's do it. They aren't asking Ray Mallock to build 3!!! Read the article, there has been a lot of interest. They've take 3 orders from people asking for one and on the back of it opened the order book for more. Will it make any money? Who cares, if Nissan want to build it at a loss that's up to them. All that free publicity surrounding it will be enough.

Bonkers. Unfortunately I can't help but feel it needs 550bhp to make up for the looks. Otherwise the 300bhp cooking version might be a goer
