Wonderful car! E39s are just remarkable, so understated with towering real world performance for the V8s.

As other have said, I'd do away with the stripes but I love Alpina models and the E39 and this is just producing major levels of want!

I love the wheels on the Alpina although I run an e39 M5 which I love even if it is old. Can I ask how much and where you sourced the digital television tuner from. I too have analogue and never really watch it but .... Is it a generic tuner from all BMW models or is it model specific.
I shall have to pull the spare Alpina wheels out and put them on the M5 this summer.
Congratulations on owning one.

Great car!
It's an Alpina, so it's entitled to wear a deko set / stripes

You'll get a lot more questions and interest with them on the car, so depends how you feel about that. But then it's part of the marque's heritage, and I wouldn't be without them on mine. I personally don't think they look complete without a set, whether 3 months or 30 years old

I'm kinda disappointed this thread hasn't gone mental with the photoshops of The Gloved One. It is sooooo ripe for it.
Nice car, btw. Love the stripes.

I was wondering how long that would take. ETA: I think I failed the 1000 yrd stare. So hard not not burst out laughing when you know you look like a tit.

Don't do that either. She wants the gloves and stripes gone!
