got an email which popped up into my junk mail box

http://www.ecurie25.com/uk/

very interesting reading

top package is £21,000 for 40-100 days driving in a supercar

not considering membership but just wonder if anyone on here is a member and are they all they're cracked up to be

surely someone who can afford £21k for membership would be better off getting a GT-R for £35k or Aston V8 vantage and drive it as often as they like

There is a chap on here I believe called Beefmeister or something along those lines and I’m pretty sure he is a member of Ecurie

He never fails to write an astonishing write up aswell.

But neither the Aston or GTR are supercars. A 200k car will cost you 20k a year in depreciation and running costs. And realistically how many full days out playing in the car do most people get? 100 days is certainly more than I spend in my car.

I think I'd rather put the £20k towards a F355 or 360; neither of which would cost anywhere near £20k a year to run and would still be worth pretty much what you paid for them at the end of the year.

You also wouldn't have the hassle of having to book months in advance for something you actually wanted to drive, and you would only have to open the garage door rather than arrange a trip into London to collect one.

I would assume their client base are wealthy city dwellers who just want to drive/be seen in these cars; as owning and maintaining one is for me, as much of the experince as the driving of it.

Speed is not the sole definition of a supercar.

Hi, yes I've been a member for some time with e25.

What I would say is, where else would you get to drive cars like the LP560 Spyder, Merc SLS, Ferrari 458, McLaren MP4 etc wherever and whenever you want (within reason) short of buying them all?

Members of the club get to enjoy the cars for less than a year's depreciation if you bought one. Plus there are very exclusive members events like a yatch moored next to the track for the Monaco GP and a driving tour through Romania in all the above cars.

Another bonus is there are clubs in London, Leeds, Silverstone and Northern Ireland, not to mention New York and Brisbane with more international clubs coming soon. Your membership allows you to take cars out at any location. NY for the weekend? Why not grab an MP4 or Fisker Karma while you're there?

Most of the members already own a 911 or Aston and join for the club side of things, there are still people in it like me though who see it as a way to drive the best cars in the world when I can't afford them.

Hope this answers your questions, any more feel free to PM me.

Spend 20k on the F355 or 360, add another 20K for memebrship and enhance your own car with the use of our F458's, F430's, California's, SLS's, MacLaren MP4-12C's, Aston DBS, LP560-4, Maserati Grancabrio etc.

No need to travel to London, we are also in Wakefield, Silverstone, Belfast (Ballymoney) plus New York and Brisbane. We can deliver and collect and no need to book months in advance, we have cars available most days and normally within a week.

Our cars average around 15k miles per year so they are actually driven, plus, many of the events we run are driving events - Trip to the Nurburgring including a 1200 mile drive through France and Belguim, Road Rallies to Scotland & Ireland over a weekend and Day Rallies covering between 150 - 200 miles of driving 6 cars in a day.

As I have posted previously, club memebrship is not everyones preffered choice but it is a bloody great way of driving some of the greatest cars available, participating in stunnign tours and events all wrapped up in a value for money package.

To ensure fairness in my post, whilst I really believe we are the best Supercar Club, there are others available. Some are similiar in their mix of cars, others offer older / classic cars and some are more track biased, so it is worth looking at the others before joining us!

I never knew this exsisted yikes it sounds like great value.

Looking at the calculator I see the cars are grouped in 4 categories, e0-3. What cars are available in each banding?

Also, is there an age limit?

Edit: I've found the cars in each banding now. I didn't expect it to be in "the collection" tab of the website!

There's also an eX group reserved for special cars, such as the Rolls Phantom Drophead they had last year.

London has an Aventador coming soon too, can't wait to take it out...

just out of interest (as I'm no-where near rich enough) - are they insured/insurable for driving to/round the ring?

I considered this at one point. It is obviously a successful venture, with many happy clients and much kudos to the firm for that. However, for me all the mileage variables, x days in e^0=1, how many miles can I do in that for X points? I wanted to go to Inverness- damn I’ve only got enough miles to make it to Selkirk. It's too much like coming home from a day of derivatives only to spend your evening doing the same stuff. A more expensive option with 125 days, and unlimited miles would be interesting.

There are always options - give the guys a ring. They won't turn you away I'm pretty sure...

Yes the insurance is included to get to the Ring - no not to drive the Ring (or any track use) - we hire track cars at the Ring or other tracks.

tbc - unfortunately I cannot give you a free membership in return for the chance to inform and enlighten everyone on here but I will be eternally grateful!

Back in the day of my valeting, Ecurie 25 used to contract me in to do the deep cleans and annual cleans on the cars (they had a hand wash guy, but anything more specific used to be me).

Was great to work on, and move about some seriously nice cars, I've never cleaned so much carbon fibre. I was invited to a few of the party's at their HQ too, a bit of champagne and rub shoulders with some interesting people.

Id certainly become a member! Just missing one thing, the wealth.

One day!
