I agree. I think the 993 cab looks great hood up - better than the coupe. It's kind of half way to a chopped speedster look. Unfortunately I think it looks all wrong when the hood is down. Also the 944; I think the cab (hood up) looks better than the tin top. And it doesn't look so bad when down. So the 944 wins. I think I offended someone before who has the 993 coupe :-) Fantastic machines and I'd rather have a tin top but looks wise, I think the 993 cab is great hood up.

PaperCut said: WTF? First of all you've posted B7 & B8 models which aren't the same and secondly there was no A4 coupe? Maybe the A5 cab vs A5 coupe, but then again i wouldn't say the cab was better than the coupe. I realised after posting I'd put a B8 picture up (oops), couldn't be bothered to edit. And did cheat with the saloon. Thought I would be pulled up. I'll try again with the 80 Cab and Coupe....

Not sure if it counts due to folding hard top, but for me, it's a close call between the 458 Italia and Spyder. Problem is they both look great.

I agree the Alfa Spider looks better than the Brera and I'm no fan of convertibles but that really does look good. I also prefer the Camaro convertible to the coupe, a trick the Mustang couldn't pull off.

Well gents, there are some good efforts here but none have convinced me yet.
As the OP, my word is THE LAW.
Keep trying.

I wouldn't necessarily say "better than" the original, but the 911 Speedster looks ok with the roof up, and that is coming from a very firm Hardtop fan. I just don't like cabs in general, look too much like or charabancs for me.

Current Mercedes E-class looks better as a cabrio than as a coupe simply because it doesn't have those stupid little fixed rear windows that the coupe has.
