I do not understand. Just produce a good looking sporty mid sized saloon, ie 5 series. Not 2 models. However I will probably be proved wrong. I was right about the 5 GT though smile

Probably the best looking car that BMW currently produce, to my eye, but I can't help but feel that the 5-series should have looked something like this in the first place.
I would suggest spec savers or more likely, therapy.
So which of their "beautiful" offerings would you say is better looking?
You mean which is the leased offensive? Thats a bit like having a collection of pigs and putting lipstick on one of them. However the six is without doubt the most pointless waste of paint in the range.

Compared to the white A7 I parked next to yesterday this is rather nice!
A7 from the rear looks like a sack of s*** stuck to the back of a full nappy. In fact you could say 'a double bag of s***!
I think BMW are getting there mojo back when it comes to large saloon cars!

That's a lovely car.

Looks much better than the A5 and A7 equivalent, and probably drives alot better too.

Love the exterior colour, not sure of the ice-cream flavour interior though!

I reckon it's stunning. Compared to other new car prices, 64k isn't too bad. Looking forward to picking one up in 5 years for 15k!

Like many cars although very handsome these are quite colour sensitive. Been fortunate see see a few in the metal and the red ones are gorgeous.

Yeah I think that's the problem. It was the same with the 5 GT and Audi A7.

I like it, looks good, don't like that colour though. Interior is a bit marmite too.

It's a great trick BMW have pulled here....BMW takes the 535d M Sport at £47k and removes two doors makes the body look sportier and comes up with the 640d M Sport (called a 40d even though it's got the same engine) and adds £20k to the price...yours for £67k. It then adds two doors to the 640d M Sport and charges you another £1k.

So basically what you have with a 6 series Gran Coupe is a 535d Sport in a sportier looking body with a bit more spec for an extra £20k. WTF ?!?!?

Anyone that buys this car needs their head examining.....mind the obviously difficulty BMW are having shifting 6 series shows the punter isn't as stupid as they'd like.

Must confess I've seen a fair few A7s and they all look gash from the rear in my eyes hehe

Wonder if they'll be chucking these out at £399+vat a month like the 5GT, 6 and 7 series within a year?
I hope so! The CLS goes in September and one of these would fit the bill nicely. Well done BMW smile

Love the look of the 2-door, that however has something I cant pick up on that turns me off. Look forward to seeing one in the metal though, and the drive sounds good for what it's intended for. As said, bring on ze M!

Worse things are being brewed for our American friends though frown

With those engines, I wish BMW could make a good looking car to go with them.

Fantastic looking car... I'm sure this will be a big hit for BMW smile

Certainly more interesting than the rest of the drab oozing out of Germany these days.

I have not seen a real one yet, but like a lot of other people making comment here, I am not sure the seemingly endless addition of submodels by BMW and others can be fully embraced by those of us on the sideline. It obviously works commercially and gives us regular press to enjoy. The problem with the new 6 saloon could be the true worth of the back seat as I would be concerned by the ride sensation - occasional use only surely. When I came to make my selection, the extra room and amazing enviroment of the 5 series GT over the standard 5 series got me to sign up. It is other worldly in its 550i form and has to be the most amazing transportation device for more than 2 people. Get the specification right and these GT cars are sublime - if we did not have several 6 foot kids maybe this 6 series version would be the way to go !

Another car that exists because it can, will be bought by those that can because they can, yet offers nothing new. The only cars that makes this a beauty are the X6 and 5GT.

For those that think this is a great looking car (!!) get Google to search for images of "BMW 635 CSi" and be reminded.

Well on the basis of the press photos I absolutely love it. The exterior up to the boot is fantastic and to be honest I could love with the boot. I love the interior, especially in the brown/vanilla trim shown!

I can imagine a 640d GC M Sport would be the most complete daily driver if you didn't need an estate. Now, BMW need to make a shooting brake version of this then it would be perfect...
