Thankyou so much for that review. Im considering a LHD used model for here in the UK

Im 6ft6 and have one of these for using on the toll booths for on the way to LeMan!
so uk parking shouldnt be a problem.

I think the new 2.0T models are going to be 270hp thanks to some twin scroll turbos so no longer detuned evo engines but full fat ones. smile
Bet that thing scares little kids if they can't see the driver easily from behind but can see a claw emerge from the window!
nope but it scared the crap out of a Mc donalds drive through perso nonce when i had my LHD Smart for2

Oh how the BSA owners laughed when they heard that the Japanese were building motorcycles!

I'd forgotten about the Hyundai Genesis. There's a blue one that features heavily in Burn Notice (TV series), looks and sounds very decent indeed, a far cry from the s**thouse Lantras of the 1990s.

Also just remembered that I parked alongside a shiny new Great Wall Steed last weekend, and it looked every bit as decent as the Japanese ones. Standard kit list is phenomenal too: aircon, Bluetooth, USB MP3 and heated leather all included on the base model. I'd gladly swap the brand-spanking L200 that we've just got at work for one of these.

To be fair, though, the new Focus is hardly an elegant design - so you're not buying one of those on looks, either.

I noticed that Kia have managed to score a big fleet deal with Avery-Berkel. Their field engineers seem to be driving C'eed estates these days, in diesel 'eco' form.
Frankly, the new c'eed (or wherever the apostrophe is) embarasses the Focus on looks. The focus looks like an early '00s korean effort, and a bad one at that. I mean, that bonnet line, wtf? frown

Until you look inside and check out the plastics... yuck, straight back to 1980's Yugo quality.
