To be honest with you, the ltd edition 500's that fiat are putting out aren't that bad when you compare them to the Abarth Punto Evo Scorpion, that gives no extra power, just the option for a ltd edition abarth roof rack!

Ignoring the price (difficult to do) I think it's a pretty nice bit of kit - certainly the most appealing 500 I've seen so far. A bit more bespoke, a bit different. Nice bit of road furniture.

Can you see the rozzers behind you with that roof down though?

Ok so it's no looker, (but then neither is this), but it's got RWD and 300+hp

There's also lots of other nice cars at 30k, i really cant picture who would want to spend 30k on this, other than some ultra die hard fiat fan

To me It says "my other car is a Maserati or a Ferrari", because I don't think anyone will pay £35K for it as their only car. On the other hand the BMW says "I couldn't afford an M3"

The Abarth Punto Scorpione (it has an 'e' on the end) is not just a Punto Evo. It is an Abarth Punto Evo with quite a number of options, including:

• Esseesse kit with black wheels
• Koni FSD shocks
• Black leather Sabelt seats
• Dual zone climate control

The roof rack, snowboard and an extra set of 17" alloys with winter tyres comes as a separate kit

There are only 10 coming to the UK so it will be rather rare.. Only down side is that it'll depreciate like a brick!

The misses wants this or even the previous ferrari edition as its a auto and if u put options on a auto cab youll end up past 20k tbh if it was more like 25k I think i would be encouraging her at 30k+ is to much tbh.

Your logic makes no sense...., so a good quality, abeit ugly, RWD car with a nice interior and 300hp + straight 6 in your mind say's i cant afford a M3....who thinks like this?

You can extend that kind of frankly strange thinking to which brand of washing up liquid you buy, does sainsburys own brand say i cant afford fairy....who actually drives around with little stories going through there head everything they see another car of what car it says they can't afford.

This isn't a new trend. Years ago we had the Wood and Pickett cars. They were lined with walnut and deep pile carpets etc. They too, were not cheap.

I love the idea of small quick luxurious cars. I've never driven a Fiat Abarth but I'd love to. The misses would never let me get one as she is of the opinion that they are 'Boy racer' cars. The colour scheme on the Maserati model is really nice and I'd have it in an instant.
The Ferrari model doesn't really float my boat.

As for the price, well, this is against what I think small cars are all about, as has been said before, it's badge engineering. If you want a 'speciale' Fiat then you're much much better off building your own car to your own spec using a bit of savvy.

What kind of comparsion were you expecting??, nobody goes round looking at other peoples cars thinking that says they can't afford a XXX, or at least i didn't think people did, learn something new everyday i guess
