Out of the cars I have owned this was my favorite

Mine was identical apart from the gear knob.
Totally agree. 205 was a great interior - ergonomics were spot on

Do love the 458 italia interior as well

Rolls Royce, in my opinion, do it best.

They hide technology away behind panels, technology looks ugly, leaving the simple controls on display. And they're designed to appear similar to their older models to ensure continuity, because continuity is class. It's the automotive equivalent of having perhaps not the latest suit, but tweed tailored in your style, albeit from the same material your father wore, and his father before him, who all happen to have owned half of Northumbria, or Rhodesia, or somewhere.

And rev counters? How vulgar to show how hard you're working. Far better to say how hard you could work, if you could be arsed, which you can't because you really don't have to exert yourself. Have a power reserve meter;

I am quite sure that Rolls Royce do this best.
The light/display switches panel looks pissed and the rest, while doubtless finished and put together with the highest care & standards, still manages to look a bit sectioned and so have a whiff of being mass-produced. So, sub-con A produces this bit, B that bit and then RR hangs them together. IMHO, of course.

I think for that kind of money, I'd want something a little closer to show car (in the genuine sense, not Barry) and a little further away from BWW.

+1 E38 is the pinaccle for 7 series interiors imho.

My old 740i individual, It had the heated 30 odd way adjustable sports seats with the horns and extended leather.

That seller is in cloud cuckoo land with that 750 though, Stonechipped to death front end cars a pre-facelift with the boggo steering wheel and nav, the floor mats look ill fitting and cheapo non-oem.

I mean barely two years ago someone had a 740I Individual up with a brown/purple/cream interior naturally i loved it and that was on 24k miles and MINT unlike the above and up at £7500, Car above looks like £3000 IMHO

I used to have a SAAB 9-3 Vector Sport and loved this dash, especially at night when it glowed a luminous green. It also had the night facility switch when you could turn everything off except the speedo, and any dial that showed upa fault suddenly came back into life. Especially the speedo when you shot past 70mph!
Pictures of them in the light dont do them justice:

An uncle of mine had one of these in his old 9-3 and it truely is an awesome interior when its all lit up.

Almost the same as the interior in our X5, but ours has the CCC iDrive, sport seats and sport steering wheel.

Focused towards the driver, but not too much. Very large dose of dark bamboo for the passenger. Everything the occupants need is right in the middle. The best thing however, is the fact that every single thing that you touch in the car is of premium material. The buttons feel nice. Everything silver is real aluminium, even the heater angle knob on the grilles have aluminium on them. Stitched, soft leather on the doors and armrest are very nice. The seats are great too.

Pure luxury, in my opinion at least.
