Best car interiors
Discussion
I always got a tremendous sense of wellbeing from the interior of my old Volvo S60. Nothing special in design terms, but gorgeous seats, superb sound insulation, the best heating and ventilation, and hi-fi system of any car I've owned before or since, and a feeling of utter solidity and build quality. At 155,000 miles it honestly didn't have a single creak or rattle and cleaned up as new.
I was spending a lot of long days on a project in the Netherlands at the time, flying out and back same day, and it was just the most wonderful thing to sink into in an airport car park after a 16 hour day. The only car I've properly loved for reasons other than being fun to drive (it wasn't, at all), and most of it was down to how nice it was to be in.

I realise that I may be alone in this but I am a huge fan of the Fiat Multipla's interior. I had one and it was superb: bright, airy, fun, spacious, masses of storage and everything falls nicely to hand including the gear lever. It could carry six people with their luggage, with nobody stuck in the boot but was shorter than a Honda Civic of the same era.
Car Magazine included it in their 10 best car interiors of all time.

E38's are one of the most comfortable cars I've ever driven... very nice interior too...it has aged very well.. Yes I'm tempted by that 750i tooWas sorely tempted to buy it!

My old 740i individual, It had the heated 30 odd way adjustable sports seats with the horns and extended leather.
That seller is in cloud cuckoo land with that 750 though, Stonechipped to death front end cars a pre-facelift with the boggo steering wheel and nav, the floor mats look ill fitting and cheapo non-oem.
I mean barely two years ago someone had a 740I Individual up with a brown/purple/cream interior naturally i loved it and that was on 24k miles and MINT unlike the above and up at £7500, Car above looks like £3000 IMHO
Regards D.
And it was up for 7,495 in 2010 so im off the mark with timescales
Ordered for a famous wine merchant through Park Lane BMW Apparently

Rolls Royce, in my opinion, do it best.
They hide technology away behind panels, technology looks ugly, leaving the simple controls on display. And they're designed to appear similar to their older models to ensure continuity, because continuity is class. It's the automotive equivalent of having perhaps not the latest suit, but tweed tailored in your style, albeit from the same material your father wore, and his father before him, who all happen to have owned half of Northumbria, or Rhodesia, or somewhere.
And rev counters? How vulgar to show how hard you're working. Far better to say how hard you could work, if you could be arsed, which you can't because you really don't have to exert yourself. Have a power reserve meter;
I am quite sure that Rolls Royce do this best.
I rather agree with that (although the carpets in the first pic do appear somewhat tawdry for a RR).They hide technology away behind panels, technology looks ugly, leaving the simple controls on display. But another contributor posted up a pic of a Facel Vega interior, and that's the winner for me.
