Why does nearly everyone seem to omit the name of the car they are posting pictures of?
Is it some big secret?
I don't mean to be a dick about it, and it's probably a demonstration of my car-nerdyness. But I can identify most of them anyway. paperbag

one of my faves of new cars:

new 6 series.

also like the macca F1 posted above - very functional and minimalistic, just how it should be on a car like that. also.....

The Carrera GT has a very nice interior I reckon as does the MP4-12C. Layout as well as fit and finish of both are top quality as far as I've seen.

I think my car has a lovely interior smile (Triumph GT6 Mk.1)

ETA - I really don't like hardly any car interiors from the 1980's onwards frown

As much as I love Pagani, that Huayra interior is nasty. The F50 on the previous page, however, is perfect.

I just find it amazing that through the 4200 and now the gransport they create such beautiful interiors and then are happy to just fk in cheap black plastic buttons and satnav. I still love it but its such a shame as it would be perfect if that centre console wasn't so plasticky

I cant believe more hasn't been made of the new Jag XJ interior. I think it is utterly stunning. Makes that Audi look old-fashioned and bland.

The XJs are a bit disappointing in the flesh.

I get your point.
But its an expensive car and the overall impression is stunning. Compare with teh Audi above which is equally expensive and extremely bland. At least the flashness feels like you've got what you paid for

THink it must be a taste thing. I think the opposite.
Of all luxo-barges I think the XJ is a real head turner as they have really pushed the boat out on design.
With the 3 German competitors, they all play it so safe and creat universal blandness in my opinion. I wouls want something that looked and felt a bit special if I was going to spend £70k on a car.

Looks abit dated now but when it was new it was a great place to be.
God that has dated, in my mind I had it as a nice place to be. Scrap that.
Hardly helped by posting a pic of a dire colour combo. Still looks ok to me, bar the upper/lower split.
I agree with the last post - especially if you consider that the car hit production in '98, so for a near-15 year old design, I think it's doing quite well (although I may be slightly biased). Especially when you compare it to the dreary, featureless interior of the equivalent A3 of the time:

I do like how the interior is designed to fit with the exterior; the Mk2 TT seems far too diluted - almost a generic Audi interior, rather than being something special and different. Coming from a car a good two generations newer, my main gripe is the steering wheel, as it is largely the same as a huge swathe of VAG cars of that era, and the lack of cubbyholes (the door pockets are fairly useless).

Modern Jaguar interiors look like they were designed by Dixons in 1995.

Modern car interiors all look horrible - too much plastic and "carbon fibre" going on. Those that have wood manage to make wood look extremely tacky. NOTHING beats a pre-1970's interior biggrin
