There ya go - if you're religious, stick with the tintop.
I suspect he cries when he sees one in that yellow-gold colour too..

The logic is sound but I am always looking at M3 cabs in the classifieds thinking I should change to one. I have not driven one though, only the M3 coupe. Think about how you use the car, drive both and decide.

I used to think this and I never thought I would have bought a 944 Cab but I am lazy and it was there, ok it flexes a bit but it doesnt stop you enjoying it, would imagine the M3 is stiffer than that, the key thing is getting the roof down on a nice summers evening and going for a drive, not a blast, or a hoon, just a drive at fairly normal speeds (ok, maybe a little bit extra) and it makes sense, it gives a car and added dimesion and only slightly takes the edge off whatever other dimensions it had, i.e. a little bit of scuttle shake and sometimes a bit more weight. I think the PH mentality is to think we are driving a touring car, not a road car and anythign that detracts from that feeling that we are in some kind of motorsport doesn't fit in, the cab versions of fast cars are there as there is a market and I think on here that market is seen as rich, undiscerning and must have the top of the range car, with a convertible roof despite it being a bit of a contradiction, in reality we arent touring car drivers and most cars dont see a track day so may as well have the added functionality of a cab, think the M3 with a Hartop looks every bit as good as the coupe, plus, women love it.

I'm not normally a cab sort, but I think the 2 days of sun have got to me, I was driving home tonight after work in a sweltering 530d, thinking how much more fun an M3 cab would be, when I passed one coming the other way ... I'm sure in crappy British winter I would probably wish I kept the 530!

Fox- said: Fix the climate control? It works great, but 8 hours parked in the sun, a dark colour & black leather means it takes a while to cool down, even with the climate blowing almost snow!

If its an M3 you want, get the coupe.
If you want a very good convertible, get the convertible......if that makes any sense.
