For reasons of balance I feel the need to offer an alternative opinion:
In what way is this anything other than a stupid idea and marketing gimmick?
Imagine when your phone runs out of battery and it is stuck on 'race mode' and you actually have to drive it. Still, what with 20 inch low profile wheels that this car will have I am sure the ride is ranges from terrible to dreadful anyway.
I am, though, please to see the car in question is in white. And I expect it has privacy glass too.

You don't know much about KW do you?In what way is this anything other than a stupid idea and marketing gimmick?

And that Golf is on the OEM wheels.
What is with all the negativity. Ok 3 modes could be handeled with a dial but the raising lowering in independant axles would be another two dials. Why not just put it in an app and keep the dash clear? Unless you can intergrate it into an OEM media display I think this is visually the next best option. The only down I can see is you would need to check your phone to find out what mode you were in but who would need to change their suspention that much anyway.

Comin to a Krooze near you.. Some Barry raising and lowering his car every few seconds to impress people and teling them "I've got it dialled in to me personal settings" and then crashing into a tree on his way out of Halfords car park..
Ahahahhhahahahaha I just can't add to that! Brilliant and my quote of the week.M@1975 said:

Only the damping is adjustable, the ride height is coilover so you have to adjust the spring seats as per normal.Don't knock until you try it, and trust me, it's a very instant noticeable difference across the 3 pre set settings (comfort, sport & sport+) either changeable by the in-cabin 3 way button or via the optional w-lan & app which is password set to your phone/pod/pad (plus the ability to adjust front and rear axles and save 5 additional settings in your app). Gimmick to some but having also run KW clubsports in my other car, I like the simplistic approach to making bump/rebound changes in milliseconds without having to jack up this car or getting my hands dirty I use the 3 main pre set settings and any additional I may need to make I use my ipod touch....... Simples!
By the way this is not height adjustable, that would be the HLS kit: http://www.kw-suspensions.co.uk/uk/kw_hls.php
control unit and w-lan module

What if your not a chav and dont have i-(diot) phone?
I don't own an iphone, just a lowly nokia which is a work phone, so instead I use my ipod which main use is listening to music working to and from work, saying that, the wifi contol is optional, you can just run with the 3 way setting set up and dash control, I don't mess about with the app to often unless wanting to use on of the additional settings I have saved otherwise the button does all the work and overrules the app settings......Hope that helps some Johnboy Mac said:
Yes, in car button makes sense, sure. But it's the iPhone app that's under discussion.
The w-lan and app is an option, you don't have to have it and can just run the 3 way button settings, the comfort setting sure helps around my way when just commuting, but having the w-lan, it is not something you will use 'all the time' unless you want to stretch outside the 3 pre sets and use the additional 5 you have created for different tracks so to speak! Lol at the negativity on this thread and well done to aussielondon for bringing some much needed real world perspective to it. Some people need to stop living in the stone age. Many sports cars already have the ability to change some of these parameters already, I really don't see the downside in giving you more options on how your suspension is setup. This might look gimicky now but I bet in 10 years time, many sports cars will have this feature.

It's hardly new though, is it, adjustable suspension? My old uncle had a Citroen BX with in car adjustable suspension. I don't think he could adjust it from his old bakolite telephone though, he had to pull a lever!! Lol. DaveK-S1 said:

Not according to the article! "Basically the idea is that, when you buy the KW DDC ECU coilover kit, you get a free app for your iPhone that allows you to configure the dampers to 'comfort', 'sport' and 'sport+' modes with a swipe of your finger, and to lower the ride height between 5mm and 35mm."
loool, made me laugh, but I guess u must have been into that kind of scence, judging by your knowledge of it.
