I thought that was one of those urban folklore things. That and it's only the 456M that had the carbon-fibre bonnets (at around £4k), the 456 that preceded it made do with steel. Top punting though , will look forward to hearing of its progress.

The 456 and M had aluminium panels attached to the steel chassis with Feran.

Underbidder on a £19k 456 in Le Mans Blue a couple of years ago on a trade auction site, then saw it up about £27k a week later. ho hum. You can tell I'm still a bit miffed.

It's the heart thing - because I have always seen cars as being profit (or loss) on a balance sheet I just struggle to buy with my heart - so everything is massively over researched and then inevitably they have issues and I panic and worry about losing money so out them.
Of course boats and bikes are bought with less thought than goes into deciding whether to have beer or wine with my dinner, are all money pits and are all forgiven their sins because I love them!
So I salute your love sir and enjoy every day, I wish I could lose my heart to a tasty Italian!!
