Just been out in an RX 400.

Think I preferred my Outback.

frown
Well keep the outback until it dies

Which will be a very long time

Or are you going to spend £15K on a new car incase you have to spend £500 on the outback

Think you might have hit the nail on the head. The lure of something shiny and new was proving tempting.

Slept on it. Definitely fancy a Cayenne S, facelift 2007 model. Reckon they'll be within budget in 6 months. smile

I went for an ML500, stupidly good value for money because of the big lump and reasonably good on fuel. We averaged about 21mpg over 8k miles, which was only 5 less than I averaged in a diesel over the same mileage, and when you take into account the cheaper price of fuel it's almost the same. (good old man maths to justify a V8)
^^^^^ We had a good search before we chose ours. The AMG kit helped the handling.
I would look at an ML55. You'll have spare cash to bank and when you come to sell there's pretty much no depreciation.
