Looks amazing and sound so,400 bhp and very lightwheight as it seems should deliver a breathtaking performance.

Big shame on them if they don't make this.

Lovely, yes please.

Was worried it would be powered by a 0.9-litre, three-cylinder turbodiesel electric hybrid, so the high-revving, 400bhp petrol V6 is very welcome. lick

So everyone in the last thread hated it; everyone in this thread loves it - a car that divides opinions?

I think it looks great, would love a go.

Shame about the mid engine.
Alpines should be rear engined, it's more fun and allows more space inside.

Somewhere there is a convertable A110 and it looks very pretty indeed.
This doesn't look very pretty at all.

I think the basic shape is quite nice, but it's overstyled with creases here, and overdone detail there

The badge in the middle and two circular things each side look particularly naff, unfortunatly this kind of overdone styling seems to be in vogue at the moment
The two circular things are the ghostly outlines of the lamps of the original Alpine. A wonderfully subtle homage that will be missed by a few people here no doubt...
Except on the original it looked great, here it looks overdone along with the huge badge

At least on this the huge badge looks as though it's an intentional statement part of the front end rather than, for example, BMW grills or VW badges being increased in size to desperately stay in proportion with the rest of the car?

I hate concept cars, they tease you with a supermodel but then take it away and leave you with a big fat ugly, front wheel drive, bh.

Brilliant effort Renault!
I would love to see one on the street!

Performance data guesses any one?

Looks a little overstyled in my opinion, maybe even ugly. Having said that, i wouldn't pass up a drive in one.

Although i'd much rather drive this.....

Actually thinking about this I agree...should really have renaultsport 2.0 atmo engine on throttle bodies in the rear to capture the spirit. But i fear the platform costs will stop that ever happening and I would more expect to see it with megane turbo engine make production frown A couple of design cues from alpine thrown in to pass respect to its legendary forebear but lost that pretty profile and all important traction boosting layout...much too much grief today to make that work and live in the world of scrutinee and road test critics.

Bit conventional for something so wacky smile

In 2006 I saw these 350Z powered Opels at the Spa Euro Races:

This Alpine reminds me a bit of these.

Wow, what a great looking and sounding car. For me if it goes as good as it looks and is less than 50K specked up then it's a serious contender. It's been a LONG time since I have seen an Alpine but is there some 80's Alpine DNA in there ? With the horizontal slats in rear diffuser and the contour of the wind screen ?

looks like a better spiritual successor to the S1 Exige than the S2 and S3 Exiges... I'd buy one if they made it, where do I sign?
