Maybe I'm just in a grump today, but isn't all this extra-special, special customers, super special customers, black card, members only, invitaion only, extra-extra super-super special-special invitation customers only nonesense all getting a bit out of hand.
Agreed. What would make this great is if one of the winners buys their 'prize' and then gives it away to some poor soul who'd otherwise never be able to afford one themselves (i.e. Me). No? How about justa year's loan?Beefmeister said:
Ummm, powerkit? This isn't on the options, nor has it been mentioned anywhere yet AFAIK.
So it's 430 bhp, that would make it even more rapid than it already is! Any idea of cost of the powerkit?
The powerkit for the 997 was about 9k, I would expect this to be similar. So it's 430 bhp, that would make it even more rapid than it already is! Any idea of cost of the powerkit?
As a PCGB member I would have thought we would have been told about this sooner through the club, but there is only one post on the PCGB Forum, and nothing in the club magazine which was delivered a few days ago either!!
Does look good in the green though, sadly due to the cost of the new 991, even if I won the raffle I am out, its too dear for me!

God not another 911 that looks 99.999% alike all the previous 911's from the past 10 years. A car with what should be OEM options when ordering.
They do no less than 21 versions of the same car. Singular lack of imagination. Even all the other cars in the range look like stretched, oversized or shortened 911's. Dull.

So, when you "win", for your 120 grand you get a 991 Carrera S which normally costs 81,742 with some dubious wheels, some extra horses and some badges to say how speshul you are ?
The Carrera S I am sure is an awesome piece of kit but surely Porsche club owners with the means to buy one probably bypass the lower end entirely and head for the GT models, or a turbo which you can have for the same money, am I missing something here ?
I wont be taking the option up if they bestow this honour on me, it isnt enough to tempt me out of the 944
It is kind of Porsches Fiesta "Finnese", but ford used to sell those with a glass sunroof, wheel trims and "unique" body decals for the same price as the pretty much identical Popular (why did the call it that ?) and there was no raffle.
