RE: Eric Clapton's one-off Ferrari: official photos

Don't care about the interior, power, what it's based on or the cost.
That is a PROPERLY pretty Ferrari. It's such a pity that Ferrari themselves require their customers to remind them what gorgeous cars look like nowadays.
If the 458 looked like this it would be the best car in the world, there'd simply be no point buying anything else if you had the money.
Having said that though, it is an intriguing scheme that Maranello offers with the one-off options. Perhaps their entire range being vomit-inducing is in order to promote this scheme.

I really quite like it. Calling it the SP12, does that mean this is the 12th Special Edition Ferrari have made. I'm aware of a few of them (first one based on a 430 i think went to China, a 599 Superamerica), but can anyone fill in the gaps?
This?Ferrari F430 SP1
Ferrari P540 Superfast Aperta (The 599 You mentioned too?) I'm sure this
cost the owner 640k Euros to build back then I could be wrong.

The P540 cost 3m Euro to create. I was at the factory speccing my 599 GTO and it was in the Classiche service area. The figure came from a manager in the department. Up close the car has nothing pleasing about it. Made worse by the collection of astonishing machines around it also in for service. Both Clapton's car and the P540 are unimpressive. Sorry, for that kind of money they should have been beyond jaw dropping.
Absolutely agree, for the money paid, there should be no ambiguity. They should be two of the prettiest cars on the planet, sadly they aren't.P.S. Also worst "I've just ordered a 599 GTO" post ever
