I'm all for a house style, but Zagato recently seem to be able to only draw a car one way. And not particularly well.

Hmmm not for me, all a bit heavy-handed for me and as said above, the current gen is a good looking car and would just need the roof welding shut to make a nice coupe.

On the other hand, a road-legal version of the Z4 GT3 would be perfect!

I am in the yes no maybe kinda like it but it looks way too much like a Z4 Coupe which looks fantastic, I really like the rear of the car, the front less so, least it is better looking than the new 6 series as that is yuck!

Was that taken near the West Coast of the Scottish Highlands, possibly on the roads out towards Gairloch / Kinlochewe?

Far superior in the looks department than the fugly Z4 Coupe, but the ulimate BMW coupe for me will always be the Z3 M Coupe.

Striking but not exactly elegant. Prob looks better in the metal.

Not as good looking at this:
OMG thats hideous, it looks more like a Fiat Barchetta with an £80,000 price tag. Luckily it quickly sank without a trace.

A real pity, as the original was a beauty.....

Zagatos are Marmite designs. Never boring, occasionally grotesque, always recognisable.

Ugly as sin. They've lost the plot with this one.

Could be worse, it could have been done by Bertone and we could end up with another Mantide *shudders*

Horrid! Z4 was a much better looking car.

Must just be me, but I really don't like any of the Zagato stuff. IMO the standard BMW Z4 looks a lot better than that.
I'm with you on that. Never got the fascination with Zagato re-styles. They seem to cock up the looks of a car more than improving them.

Eye of the beholder and all that I guess.
+1

Always individual but not in a good way for me. They always ruin Aston designs too IMO.

This is quite smart and distinctive until the b-pillar back - then it has a huge and ungainly rear out of proportion with the rest of the car.

Looks like a pull back and go toy car I had in the early 80s that was weighted at the back to make it do wheelies. Ahhh, maybe that's the plan... Now I'm interested. biggrin

I own a prev-gen Z4 coupe too and I must say this isn't as nice. It's overstyled and looks too fat at the rear.
