I'd never met the man, only seen posts from him, and he seemed a decent bloke with an excellent good sense of humour.

I'm more sad than probably I should be, given the tenuous connection, but he was young, just starting on his life with his family and all the pleasure that should have been in store for him.

But here in darkest Cumbria, I'll drink a toast to his memory, and send my thoughts to his family and hope they remember the good times more than the bad ones.

I have nothing really more to add than what has been said before, and part of me doesn't feel that I could do him any justice as someone whose only been exposed to a few of his posts on an internet forum, but the heartfelt condolences of my fellow PHers have inspired me to say that my best wishes are with his friends and family at this difficult time.

Maybe he would've liked a PH meet in his honour, cars and bikes.
Good idea

Not quite sure I get the point of this, unless it is to raise funds for the child perhaps?

Tie in with a breakfast meet - such as Goodwood, some sort of "entry fee" perhaps?

Entry fee was my thought also. Doesn't have to be specifically for raising money though - hopefully the event itself and the pics etc of everybody in one place for Kyle would have a certain value to it in itself?

I know if it was me being a petrol head, just the fact that lots of people had bothered to come in their cars or on their bikes to have a meet, chat, make some noise would mean a lot. Regardless of any fundraising. However I do think it's a good idea to set something up for the kid too so maybe this could be tied into it.

Thank you all for your kind words, they have been very humbling as Kyle was so well loved and respected.

This is the information on the funeral and the road closure, although we do not have times for the closure just yet.

We will be celebrating the life of my best mate Kyle Stock on Thursday 7th June at 3:30 at St Pauls Church Birkenshaw. Then on to the Gomersal Park Hotel afterwards.

As this is a celebration, bright, smart, casual clothes are requested. Jeans t-shirt/shirt are fine. NO black please.

If people coming could please contact myself by phone (07809475354) or on facebook (Luke Maud) as we do need an estimate on numbers.

There will also be a road closure on Wednesday 6th June for anyone who would like to pay their respects at the scene. Again we need an estimate of numbers of people heading up there with us all.

As for a meet Kyle would definetly have loved it, he'd have been the first one there. At present it maybe nice to see who would like to donate but wait until Emma feels able to setup a bank account or similar, I would be happy to collect at a meet if required and relay this to the family, but I'm sure I'd be able to bring up some of his family if they wanted to come. I will be seeing the family again today so will keep everyone updated. A big thanks to you all and gsd2000, for the support
