I'm guessing they was drunk, seen me with my roof down, thought look at that t t, then possiblle tried to clip my backend? But insead nailed me. The shop cctv cameras wasn't pointing on the road. I have witnesses, they all could tell it was intentional. I got took to hostpital fora checkover, and this is where I'm at now. I duno what to do next, I have no car, and yeah gutted.ive got a few people on lookout but at the moment he's doing a pretty good job at hiding, hopefully its just a matter of time, if not looks like I'm screwed? Sorry, this just doesn't ring true... So from no idea of the car it is now a 02 Silver Mondeo, phone the bizzies and be more careful where you deal in future.

Where did it say I had no clue of the car? I have no clue of the reg, but witnesses said it was a mondeo, I'm not from the area, my gf lives here, I was going to pick her up.im peed of as it is without people thinking I'm bulls tting, I'm a decent lad, and keep myself to myself, hence why I'm so confussed on why they'd do it. I aint no drug dealer or someone who people would have a grudge with. But thanks allot to the people that responded with there advice, I'm still in the process of deciding what to do atm. The bizzies are well aware as they was on the seen with the ambulances and witnesses

Report to the Police, they should be able to check the CCTV for the area I'd imagine there is quite a bit of footage available in and around council estates in Liverpool.
If you are in hospital they would be doing this now unless you haven't reported it, and if you haven't why not do that instead of posting on here?
'People' out looking for an 02 plate Mondeo with some lads in it sounds dodgy, and I'm not 100% anyone just randomly drives into another person and risks damaging their car over nothing, and certainly not because he is a flash git in a convertible.

I am really sorry to read this story .
I'm guessing you are a relatively young/new driver and probably pay through the nose for insurance ?
What you need to weigh up are the pros and cons of claiming on your insurance ( assuming you are fully comp ) , considering the likely payout you might receive for your car against the increased costs of insurance in the coming years as a result of the claim ( loss of NCD ; increase in premium because of your claim history - this is not the same as loss of NCD ; possibly finding it harder to find cover at all ) .
If you feel that taking the loss of your car on the chin and not claiming is the less painful option , remember it still belongs to you and you can recover a fair bit by breaking it and selling parts on eBay , or at least get scrap value from a breaker .
Neither option is particularly attractive - but do weigh up the figures before simply claiming and possibly accepting a derisory pittance in settlement then a hike in insurance on your next car .
Although you are contractually bound to notify your insurer of crashes , if you do not claim then any NCD you may have will remain intact .

There are too many 02 silver Mondeo's with Scallies driving around the council estates of Merseyside and the OP was lucky they didn't shoot him IMHO. Never had anyone say anything bad about our MX5 whilst driving through Bootle or Seaforth, on the way to the Wirral, for a day out.

Thank you very much for that info Pontoneer, give me abit of a boost consindering I don't have the foggiest idea on what to do next, it gives me some comfort knowing I can recover abit of money, regarding grudges, its not that, I'm not that person, I'm quite, been with the misses 5 years no trouble, I know her only ex, where both 22, so she's only had the 1 ex, its just a s t situation atm. I've just took a drive round to check for more cctv in the estates but no luck. I hear on the grapevine the lads was drinking on sunday, I'm guessing before they crashed into me, I can't go into too much detail about stuff for obvious reasons but where pretty much doing what the police should, hopefully he thinks he's safe and comes out of hiding, and I can get the reg.

Why are certain people being arses to the OP? Give him a break! People are so overly suspicious of others these days. He may be a lurker on here, and feel this is a good place to seek advice, hence the thread title. s t situation OP, and hope once the initial shock wears off, you will get some info on these cretins.

Pontoneer has given some great advice. Weigh up the pros and cons of claiming. You could save money by breaking the car or repairing.
I didn't understand the doubt on this thread, it didn't seem too far fetched to me. Saying that, a women tried to reverse into me yesterday and I had to swerve around her... I've recently being winding people up who have chronic road rage, its a dangerous hobby.

Sorry to hear about this one. But it now sounds like you know who did it. So whats the wrap for driving with intent to (seriously) harm these days?
