Spend a bit more and get some Michelin Pilot Sport 3s; they're brilliant on my 172 Cup, definitely a step-up from the Uniroyals.
Thanks Galve, how do find the Michelins in the wet ? The last cars on Michelins ( MXVs I think from memory ?? ) that I have had, were in the early - mid 90s on a couple of R5 GT Turbos. They were very good wet and dry. Michelin then stopped making them and us 5 Turbo owners had to either go for Pirelli P6000s ( pretty awful ) or Uniroyals. The Uniroyals were very good in the wet, but not as good in the dry as the Michelins. My other thought was Conti Sport 6s. Had these on my M3 and they were Superb!

I sprint/hillclimb my Clio, in a standard class that mandates normal road tyres. The Michelins are fantastic in all conditions. I've never been beaten by anyone using RainSports.
They're also quiet, comfortable, feelsome and last for ages. Absolutely brilliant things.
I hillclimbed my Cup on Toyo T1-R’s before moving to 888’s. They're also quiet, comfortable, feelsome and last for ages. Absolutely brilliant things.
Now only used on road I have PS3’s & they are easily outlasting the T1-R’s!
Took some getting used to but happy with them now.
Thread from the dead!
Been looking at these lately, prices are on the up
This looks a nice example, any thoughts?
