Are you implying I'd key someone's car because I can't stand seeing poor, lazy English?

Then again, Kent. Says it all.
No, just understand better why people can be petty, pathetic, sad and pretend to be better than others, while all the time talking complete ste, as someone has correctly highlighted to you already in the shape of your spelling.
The irony of a self righteous idiot taking just a few mins to show himself up, did make me smile some. So you do serve some useful function here after all.

The Grammar Nazis pick up on really minor things, such as apostrophes in the wrong place. What you typed was clumsy, lazy English. The sort that is becoming all to prevelant.
Where's that 'single thing that makes you think knob?' thread gone? Starting a reply with 'quite' and being smug about your ability to type. Some people struggle with reading and writing.

You know what's more prevalent than this? People not treating others with respect. What's worse if you knew exactly what he meant and you're being deliberately obtuse because a few other people do the same as you on PH, except it's actually a bit of a joke.

Can't say I have any experience with the above problem, but I wouldn't go the insurance route until I'd got a quote from a bodyshop. Then I'd assess that cost against the value of the car.

Is it definitely random? Were other cars attacked as well?

It might be worth investigating further before rectifying to prevent it happening again.

Wouldn't random people do lots of cars say walking along a road? That's what happened in my brothers road, drunk guy with a screw driver. One car with all the panels done seems too targeted to me. But then I am suspicious and cynical

yes

The theory touted about parking in what some fkwit views as "their space" is a possibility, especially if it was just your car; definitely do a bit of research. People are scum, I really hope you get it sorted frown

And to the grammar Nazis, grow up. The OP was hardly illiterate or using txtspk, and if you are still desperate to receive whatever buzz you get out smugly correcting small grammatical errors then at least choose a more appropriate thread rolleyes

The sort that is becoming all too prevalent

OP - Bad luck to her car, I hope they find the culprit.
My dad had his car keyed all over when it was one day old. That was in 1964.

I thought it was quite funny. Maybe if you learnt to write properly then that sort of issue would not arise.
Correctly. Not properly.

Why do people feel its required for them to appear, to add nothing constructive at all- just to highlight errors in a perfectly legible post? Whilst you may think that you look amazingly clever, you really do come across as being an utter imbecile.
OP- im usre that someone will appear with some useful advice soon enough- there must be a thread somewhere on here dealing with similar issues and, perhaps a DIY solution.
I concur that the world is full of aholes.

I recall a friend getting his car scratched a few years ago. He had a guy come out and fix it using heat lamps to soften the paint and seal up the scratch. I never saw the process myself but it sounded like a brilliant idea.

that might work with flat paint but I suspect if it's breached the primer and has a lacquer top coat it wont be that easy.

Of course it matters. If it didn't, we'd all eventually end up communicating by grunting at each other.

I might suggest reporting to the police in the local area, quite often they might know the culprits & you'd be surprised how helpful they can sometimes be. We had a similar thing with a Peugeot we'd just bought, some youths jumped on our car it was parked in the street one evening. A neighbour spotted them but did'nt know it was our car, luckily they reported it. Plod knew the culprits & made a visit, parents paid up! I also let plod know that if I saw said culprit in our neighbourhood again they would be getting a call for probably the wrong reason. The cuplits were about 14 years old & I heard through some of their school chums they were stting themselves over it.

Definately worth reporting

It can be repaired by a smart repair type outfit for a few hundred, so don't get too concerned.

I'd be devastated though, there are some mindless morons out there...

Try to convince your brother not to get too worked up. Vandalism is a bummer (been there) and should not be taken personally. Sorry to hear your news.

Also, sorry you had to deal with the grammar wkers in such a psot.

This is quite possibly the most obnoxious, unjustifiable response I have ever read. Quite depressing really.
