yep
The engine does seem to be being phased out in favour of the 5.5 Bi Turbo offering in other AMG's, no idea why.
Emissions and economy I guess. The only reason it's still in the C class is because the 5.5 biturbo won't fit. I guess they left this engine in the SLS to differentiate it from the SL a bit more? The engine does seem to be being phased out in favour of the 5.5 Bi Turbo offering in other AMG's, no idea why.

its used in the c63.
There are several differences between the SLS and C63 versions of this engine, the most significant one being that the SLS version is dry-sumped - obviously this lowers the centre of gravity of the car as well as maybe signalling the seriousness of AMG's intent of use. It also has a completely different intake system, reworked valve train and camshaft and uses flow-optimised tubular steel headers; in addition the exhaust system has also been dethrottled. AMG felt that the changes were so significant to the SLS they made a separate engine designation, M159, as opposed to the M156 used in all over cars.Just stunning!

thats good then, unfortunately these particualr ones remind me of some hideous thing fitted to a corsa I once had the misfortune of having to drive at work.
Me personally I think some BBS LM type wheels would look good on this.
I don't like those particular wheels either.Me personally I think some BBS LM type wheels would look good on this.
These are the best wheels of the three Mercedes offer I think.
