Brilliant as ever. My favourite era of my favourite sport. I once got driven by Francois Delecour around Donington in an Escort Cosworth road car. Wonderful, but not a Gp B monster.

Abarth developed the engine, perfecting the twin charge set-up.

Fantastic video and beautiful camera work.

I've seen an RS200 on the road and a Lancia 037 road car in a warehouse and a Stratos in Newbury (many years ago).

So, are there any of the road cars (needed for homologation) still being used on the road and where?

Spotted a Stratos near my home in Wiltshire a few months back, made my day!

Awesome video, can't decide what I liked best, the precision of the S4 driving or the madness of the 037.

The old timers still seem to have the skills, great cars and drivers. Odd really that so many great drivers come from tiny Finland.

Amazing video.

Surely tho with much better crowd control and safety in modern rallying Group B style cars could return.

YES its expensive and not very PC but the WRC is sh**.

Who wants to watch Loeb win AGAIN.

I am sure if the WRC had cars like these once more the WRC would be more popular than F1.

As stated by Juha Kankkunen "WRC Is For Boys. Group B Was For Men!

BTW best video ever on Piston Heads.

Thank you Mr Harris.

Definately a 10 out of 10 from me. That looked fantastic. I know Chris said he was gutted he could not have driven the cars or the stage but I don't think he would have pushed as hard as those drivers and I don't think he would have come away with the same kind of awe and respect for the drivers or the cars.

No disrespect to Chris, he is a much better driver than me, but as he said (humbly) when there are better drivers out there then it would be ( I don't remember the exact words)stupid to refuse a passenger ride.

Stunning video Chris. You are the jammiest git alive.

Those 16 mins beat any of the Group B dvd's I have seen. Fascinating to hear the drivers opinions on how the cars drive rather that the usual "were they too fast to race"
