RE: Chris Harris video: rally nirvana

very very enjoyable! please please make more videos like this
kind of sad though as it just adds to highlight further how dull the cars of the wrc are today.
I cant imagine people getting quite as excited about a ride in loebs ds3 in 20 years time.
unless wrc or equivalent is completely dead by then

I thought it not possible to be more jealous of Monkey Harris, and then he goes and does this!!! envy does not even begin to describe it
Fantastic footage of some of the greatest cars to ever grace the sporting community.
As said by others - a day like this and especially those cars deserve to be viewed more with unedited footage and soundrecording from those clips. Outside and inside noise please!!
Thats probably my only grudge with this video - those cars sound so spectacular I found myself checking WTF that irritating noise in the background was - only to discover you went and put on a soundtrack under the driving footage??? Sooooo unbelievably unnessecary and annoying.
Give us some clips of the raw footage with no sound editing and I just might think about forgiving you for that one
ohh.. and kep up the good work!

fun to contrast Juha's smooth style with the slightly more frantic one of Paolo Andreucci !
I wonder how much of that is down to the nature of the cars, rather than the natural styles of the drivers? The one car was a monstrous, point-n-squirt machine which had to be coaxed through the apexes, whereas the other seemed to be alive on the tarmac at all times.
Superb video - I love Harris does the "fan's view". (My favourite is still the Delecour/GT3 video for sheer barmy driving and bewliderment on the part of our journo.)
And some ppl wonder why a few of us worship at the alter of Lancia. Criminal the tripe that is being produced under their banner now
As to someone who Marku wasnt the quickest, well the only guy who was definately quicker was Henri. The rest of them...Marku, Ari, Juha, Stig, Rohrl and Hannu were all as quick as each other depending on the day and conditions. Penti and Bjorn were their match on some days aswell.
Munari was the quickest Stratos driver of the lot though.

Wow, HarrisMonkey does it again.
I always thought that 037 was a great looking super car, but no 4WD was a sort of handicap - but it does appears to hold its own in the twisties as well.
Oh, and I forgot to say LEGEND drivers.
I always look forward to my end of week Harris video.
Great stuff - keep it coming.

Very nice vid!
Markku and Juha are heros, Andreucchi is just comedy!
I was working at Monza rallyshow 2 yrs back and was literally blown away by the ECV!!
The pitlane is used during the rally so the pitboxes are used back to front... we had set up the "engineering room" along the normally front roller shutters. Sitting poaring through data after our day had finished, Miki Biasion was sent out on a demo in the ECV.... we had no idea until he entered the pitlane and unleased the fury.... we could hear all the garage doors flapping until he reached us and sent all the tables and laptops flying.... didnt bother picking anything up, ran straight to the roof to watch the master at work in a mental beast.
Had forgotten until that video...

Chris, thank you for another report well done
When are you going to star in your own TV show, 30 minutes a show would do, you must have had offers by now?
Thinking short documentaries about different (unknown by the masses) UK & european race/rally championships would be great; hill climbs (including the frankly bonkers european championship), rally cross, historic rallies etc. etc., the list is endless, they are all crying out for some Harris genuine petrolhead enthusiasm and decent coverage...
And if you need a hand organising your itinerary or carrying any equipment....
