I had a cyclist (riding the other way) shake his fist and tell me to fking slow down.

I wasn't going much faster than he was FFS. I may have been in a low gear low...

I posted this is Biker Banter recently, it's a disclaimer that is stamped on a metal plate and attached to my exhausts.

They're only on a 70's Honda Twin, but they do give it a loud rumble. The neighbours love me hehe

The williams has a loud exhaust, the people who glare at me and the unable to understand things shouted is getting a bit much, i do love the sound of it at WOT, admitedly its awful trying to get anywhere and just trundle along.

I do try my best, will coast down my road and do my damndest to reverse up the drive into the garage without upsetting anyone.

Just after watching this clip on Jalopnik.

It would appear not everyone appreciates a 12 cylinder Italian thoroughbred symphony:

I measured the db level of my Lingenfelter Z06 the other day... 95db @ idle inside the car and 102db @ idle, measured ~1 metre from the rear at exhaust level. If anyone shouts at me, at least I can't hear them!
You should be careful, it might make you deaf if you drive it regularly.

I had a couple of women jogging in the road, when there was a perfectly good very wide pavement, who started telling me to slow down etc... as I was going over a speed bump in the Porsche.

Really fking stupid - I was doing less than 5mph - I wound down the window and told them to be responsible and to get off the road.

They went mental.

Good.

Morons.

My neighbours complained about my loud E34 540i...because I had sold it and they missed the rumble as I toodled in and out. So I had my Jag made louder and now they're happy biggrin

Thankfully my neighbours appear to have more important things in their lives than worrying about my exhausts, though I do always use extreme caution near my house out of courteousy. The guy who mouthed off at the Lamborghini driver, I console myself that it is only a matter of time before that chinless round-shouldered fire starter gets a good slapping over-reacting like that

Many years ago a young fella was driving a Murci down Westbourne Grove. The traffic was heavy so he kept dropping back, giving it a few blips then gunning it for 100 yards or so.

Much to my surprise he was getting loads of claps and cheers from the pedestrians.

Restored some of my faith in humanity.

(although today he might just get shouted at/blamed for global warming/told to get a diesel/etc)
