RE: Driven: Audi RS4

that's not a characteristic I recognise, either it had issues or your driving style needs help....
Elise has probably the best braking capabilities of just about any road based car out there by some margin
I guess the lack of ABS and Servo meant that in certain greasy road conditions it was sliding quite a bit hence the pumping required to stop the tyres locking up. Elise has probably the best braking capabilities of just about any road based car out there by some margin

I reckon I might just manage to do that myself. Was hoping you had an interesting video or intelligent mathmatics - obviously not.
nope, just plain old simple demonstration works for me, hard to argue with warped/cracked disks, crumbling pads and boiled brake fluid.Scuffers said:
Brilliant video. I thought at first, gosh that TT isnt doing badly, and then you pass it and it becomes all too apparent how much it was holding you back. just illustrates the point about the difference between a 'fast' car and a properly fast car.
once you make compromises to make them practical and liveable with as daily family cars, you have to accept that they are not really track cars.
this is probably a better example, this is a road car on road tyres.

To be fair this is a Audi RS4 thread and it's gone way off topic now, an occasional track day (which they are good for) comment has now gone into brake fade etc.. once you make compromises to make them practical and liveable with as daily family cars, you have to accept that they are not really track cars.

Dont think thats a patch on the last rs4 estate, this just looks like a badged up standard a4 s line apart from the exhaust. Previous generation had buldged arches standing it out instantly from the rest of the range. Dissapointed tbh. B7 still the best to look at.
Durrr.. The RS4 Avant has blistered wheel arches - reminiscent of the original Quattro ...Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
