It looks very well looked after, suppose it shows all the "Car is fit for the scrapheap past 10 years/100,000 miles" brigade a thing or two hehe

Lets hope he doesn't by a more modern TDCI engined car! Those 1.8 TD will run forever, no DMF's to worry about either!

Soon to be seen on eBay as an

Amazing timewarp Mondeo!!!111!! Only 300 miles on the clock!!!!1!!!

I'd be interested how many clutches, etc he's gone through... Probably not many if he's just doing airport runs.

That's more down to crap management than a couple of free 9-5s.

Just goes to show how well a modern-ish car holds up. Kicking passed one million is impressive

I also think Ford should give him a new Mondeo Estate. Give him one of them Eco friendly ones and get some good PR with car fans for the free car, and eco-mentalists for the green car.

Agree with the above. Surely he deserves a nice new one?

Damn, I was hoping to use the 'Trigger's Broom' analogy first! biggrin

I did think that as soon as I saw the article, the car doesn't look that bad, paints a bit faded but its not wrecked, looks good for Ford too.

Just goes to show that cars can just keep on going if you look after them.

More likely a voucher for a free interior vac next time he has it serviced at the main agents!

I've done 256,000 miles in my Lambo Murcielago. Not all me granted - it's used on my driving experience days too. But its had more than 7000 customers behind the wheel since 2005. It's just being rebuilt since the V12 went pop. Can't think why smile

Any info on what has been replaced in that time? Costs?

Has anything stood up to those kind of milages that surprised you?

Used to love reading about the orange Merci in Evo. A mega mile Lambo is just quite cool

Maybe if the cab driver in question had known a Lamborghini could be so reliable he'd have got one of those instead?
