Has anyone been, and is it worth going to?
I'll be driving again to Poland next month and was planning to stop by at the Autostadt, since Wolfsburg is a stone's throw off the route. I've been into Berlin many times now and it's starting to get boring, hence looking at other attractions on the way to break up the long drive.

Judging by the lack of response, I take it that no one has been.
In that case, if I do end up going, I'll post up a review of the experience afterwards.

Just seen this sorry, I went and it was great! There's amazing architecture with a building for each Volkswagen owned brand. Have a look on the website http://www.autostadt.de/en/ especially the virtual tour http://www.autostadt.de/en/explore-the-autostadt/v... . Most interesting is probably the car towers which you can even go up in, and the generic car museum part with various classic cars. So, all in all, very much worth a visit!

I've been. It is an amazing ... place. Huge. Massive pillar to VAG power. Well worth visiting if a little hard to feel a passion about. Great museums. Lovely expensive hotel. Don’t miss it. So much bigger than … Heathrow.

Thanks guys. A resounding endorsement then.
I'll have about 2-3 hours spare for the visit before I'll need to get back on the road. Will that be enough time to see the best bits?

Should be OK, but you won't fit in the factory tour as well as the museum.
