looks a lot nicer than the red one that emerged a few weeks ago. I actually really like it; which I did not with the red. Are they trying to create a iconic design like with the 911 where the profile shape outline becomes instantly recognisable as an AM?

That front melted splitter is a deal-breaker for me. I'm cancelling my fantasy order. I hope they don't ruin the Rapide with that nasal discharge.

I think they need to do something about those wheels. They make me think halfords'd VW Golf.

So... is this a 'new' new car, or another restyled DB9?

I actually love the colour! but sadly there are a hundred and ninety thousand reasons why I won't be placing an order.

Looks great in profile, like the rear wing....
..but Aston to me is all discreet, understated luxury. This is way too bling- really fussy, especially at the front, and apart from the grille could be from any eastern manufacturer...
Interior looks great though!

Where does the 310 come from by the way?
"310" comes from Aston's internal project number - "VH 310".
As stated in the article, "VH" being a reference the Vertical/Horizontal platform architecture used.

I like it, but when are they going to ditch that steering wheel?? Looks like it has been taken straight from the 1998 Ford Fiesta frown

That will look great in the flesh, nicely updated interior and a useful hike in power and torque.

Much want.

Boring. Dont get me wrong, its a nice motor, but looks pretty much the same as their last 5 odd cars. Do something new?

I wouldnt buy it. I'd rather have a Maserati Granturismo, even if they were the same price, at least it has pretty unique styling. Or save up some more and get the Ferrari F12

I forgot to add, that there has actually been one parked down my road all week. The guy down my road works for aston martin, and hes got a red one parked outside, covered in red camoflage tape (he has a different aston outside pretty much every day). I asked him what it is and he said it will be the new vanquish, and in all honesty, in the flesh it didnt look much. it looks quite high off the ground. I have a picture on my phone but cannot upload it!

As they say, Vanquish my ass. Another bodykitted DB9 with slightly massaged engine.

Nope Garmin system from MY12 on all Astons
interesting to see the reaction.
The Aston guys have been debating this for months at the first whisper of the 310 code name.
It is a VH platform so shares ALOT with the DBS/DB9/Virage (as do the Vantage & Rapide).
I've seen it in a few colours now and none seem to redeem the manky front spoiler and rear end frown

You mean that new steering wheel that wasn't present on any of the previous production Aston Martins but is similar to the one used on the one-77? I'm not sure about the Fiesta but am easily willing to belive you know more about them than you do Aston Martins.
