im not exactly sure how its happened ( its complicated) but i seem to have ended up with two black XJR 308s ( i also have a 3.2 sport) and it got me wondering if anyone else had two cars more or less exactly the same? the reason i have the two black ones is, the first one i bought had very low mileage but no cruise control and no premium sound system and and i wanted both the second one i collected yesterday is a year newer but higher mileage but has ALL the toys now i dont know which one to keep, they are both black leather interior , both have full service history and are in great condition. and the new one

Thought my eyesight was playing up until I scrolled down a bit. Get a second set of number plates to clone one of them. one VED, one insurance, and you can use them both as the mood suits.
What could possibly go wrong?

One of the neighbours has two Mondeos with the same reg year, same engine and model. Only difference is the colour. They bought both nearly new from a car supermarket and effectively got a buy one get one free price compared to new rrp.

Got a pal who's just paid under a grand for a very presentable R plate XJ Sport, 3.2 V8. What an absolute bargain and a peach of a car. Full history inc recent timing chain, brand new Pirelli P6000s all round. Blue with magnolia, and dark wood. Lovely. Not so good is 14mpg round town and the likelihood for something to go wrong and rid him of a few quid. But he's a mechanic, so he can deal with it

Had 2 Allegros for years. One's gone now, and I just know they pine for each other.

My parents used to have a pair of Citroen ZXs, not sure if they're alike enough to count though, one was a poverty spec K reg 1.9D hatch, the other was a top spec P reg 1.9TD Estate. Years before they had a pair of Skoda Estelles, again different ages & specs (X plate 120LS and a C plate 120L IIRC).

The twins who live up the road have matching Skoda Fabias, one red and one blue. They are really weird blokes.

Yep, 2 BMW E28 520i, I had one for years and bashed it, I was to embarrased to explain at work so I bought another the same colour...
Stinky and Stinky2 - on account of the fact my wife says they smell inside.

I had matching 1989 CRXs, although one was JDM with PAS, moonroof and Si badge instead of 16i16.
Back then it was very handy to be able to order parts from Honda using a UK chassis code rather than a JDM chassis code, as they were so upset about not selling the car that they decided not to make money servicing them either.
The reason was because the 16i16 was stripped out and on cut slicks, but I really missed how brilliant a normal road car it was. So when the Astra GTE got a bit rusty I got the Si as a replacement (but kept the GTE, naturally).
The ex-Mrs Muppet got the Si in the divorce and plowed in to a parked car on a straight bit of road not too long afterwards. Thanks Karma, but I would have prefered some money instead.
