Today I got a puncture on the A60 near Worksop.
I got the spare and tools out of the boot, and then hit a problem, the nuts were unmovable, even with 20 stone stood on the wheel wrench, they would not move, as I was jumping up and down on the wrench, a yellow T5 drove past, and then turned round, the guy jumped out and immediately knew the problem I was having.
Luckily he had a battery powered impact wrench with him, after a few minutes of trying, and with the impact wrench turned right up, we got the nuts loose, the guy then left wanting only a handshake in return, and I got on with changing my wheel.
I now regret that i didn't get his name.
If you are on here, or if someone know a yellow T5 in the Worksop area, I say a very big thank you to the driver.

Tales like this help restore a little off one's faith in the human race. Good bloke in the T5.

What a pleasant change from the road-rage threads !
I've only had cause to stop once. I stopped and helped a fellow-biker who'd run out of petrol.

(Good work Mr Volvo!) I thought this was a big no no? I always use a very small amount on the threads but stay clear of the collars as this is where the torque comes into play. Always double check my nuts.

I broke down on the M1 once at 3am......just when the Boxster was first launched...heard this road be as one of the first ones I had seen screeched to a holt.
"Dodgy" looking dude inside offered me a lift to the nearest phone.....took him up on it....was the DJ Goldie!!! Sound guy.
