Its just a matter of finding out which are the good ones, there seem to be 8-10 versions and the E after the 2 makes me wonder if they are some sort of eco tyre.

Convert the price difference from £ to litres of fuel. Then it seems well worth having the top tyres.

I'm guessing after market sat nav, with a remote control. Had a similar one in a 406 once.
Oh, no doubt. I'm just saying that if you look closely I'm pretty sure you can make out a zip tie and some gaffer tape wink

It looks sort of half integrated but I have never seen one like it before.

Well whatever contraption it is, it has removed the cup holders so I am OOT! What's the point in 100% waft if you can't recline in your comfortable seats with a nice latte and enjoy it eh? EH?

This is a W210 sore-point. Very wafty. No cup holders. And nowhere sensible for an aftermarket cobble-together.

This is such a bugbear if often dictates the choice of cold-morning chariot for me.

If it has a flat surface anywhere within reach, such as the floor near your feet, a large roll of gaffer-tape makes for a handy cup holder. As does a trainer wedged somewhere...

I suppose my suggestion lends itself more Bangernomic-ing than Barge-ing...

Do you mean unattached to the car? I'm not prepared to lose 300ml of precious morning life-restorer to a poorly executed direction change. That would really spoil a day.

Or do you gaffer tape the roll to the carpet? Is that even going to work?

545i just North of fred budget!

Lose the rims and the plates and it could be a tidy beasty!

Seems a bit too cheap, non?
not especially. Its an SE and a honking great V8. Luckily for us that devalues them like crazy!

Our ex company 545 touring was an 04 and it went 3 years ago for 9k trade.
Judging by the houses in the advert I'd say that isn't too far away from me. I'm supposed to be going to Oz in January but I've always wanted a V8.

  1. Assuming you have a black or grey interior, (I've not checked to see if gaffer-tape is available in hearing-aid-beige,) buy the biggest roll you can find in the correct colour.
  2. Unwrap the roll, and plonk it down on the carpet in a convenient location, and press firmly so it kind of grips the carpet. (In the same way that if you leave a roll in a tool bag it will invariably have all the sand, fluff and small spanners attached to it next time you go in to get it out.)
  3. Stick your beverage of choice in the hole in the middle of the roll, and go driving. When retrieving the drink, make use of the "secret twist" to get it out without having a roll of tape attached to your cup.
  4. Rejoice at how much money you saved.

Thanks indeed. I'll give it a go. The W210 interior is omni-grey, so gaffer tape may even brighten it up a bit. The wife will marvel at my inventiveness, and love me a little more.

I like the ones which have a bit of oem scaffold folded along that black groove across the front.

Please read the small print.

Louiebaby's patented cheap-as-chips-gaffer-tape-cup-holder offers no guarantees when it comes to the opposite sex. Quantities of sex in your life as a result of using the cup holder may go down as well as up. Other tape types are available. Louiebaby holds no patents on the cup holder. Typical APR rate is high, but not as high as wonga.com. Prices correct at time of going to press. Your home may be at risk if you set fire to it. Etc etc...

Shove it between your legs for the nut-warming effect, and pray some d**khead doesn't do something sudden in front of you.
