I had P6000's on the Mustang when I first bought it, they were fine in the dry but in the wet they were a nightmare, Eagle F1's transformed the car
Another eagle f1 fan. I had some GSD3's. Ripped the arse out of them in no time but flip me don't they grip well and displace water a treat?I would imagine it is
1. Incorrect tyre pressure
2. Very worn bushes for sure
3. Damage to suspension if you ripped off the sidewall that's some impact
Could be a cracked spring following impact.
One thing though e full suspension refresh you mention is not cheap as in given the age of the car and the cost you would need to spend chuck a new tyre on it sell it and buy another one newer the 3ltr not 2.9ltr which has 6speed manual and 6 speed auto plus 204bhp v 184bhp better economy and has the facelift E46 image
So the amount you may spend fixing it is likely to be more than the upgrade cost
One thing you could do anyway is put it in for an MOT that will aid selling it plus goes through all the safety issues. Then if there is anything illegal get it sorted

What price could I command for the car with a fresh MOT and 6mths tax?1. Incorrect tyre pressure

No idea look at the current ones advertised. It is an option to consider might be best choice or not only you know that. 80k, FSH, 2 owners, Black, manual, 4 door, Se spec and totally standard...? - Is 4k ambitious?

Yep, even down to the last 1.5 mm of tread before the wear bars they still inspire confidence, well worth the money forked out for them, and they have survived around 18,000 miles too (including multiple trips to York Raceway). When they come up for replacement in a month or two I know which tyres I be getting as replacements

my car is the right age and the torquiest one they do.
Not through the diff it's not, all the torque is at the flywheel, by the time it's made it through the gearbox and out towards the differential its no more torquey, infact probably less so, than the 330i.Did you say what tyres are fitted to the rear? E46's apparently do not like different tyres front to back. If you've got crappy tyres on the back that would definately cause isuses.

Just otterly amazed at how few fishy puns are in here
We've all been waiting for salmon else to kick it off, but then someone mentioned fishtailing, there was no beating that so I think the rest left that to take the sole plaice on the table.RicksAlfas said:
How did your plopping go?
I tried to plop into a BMW specialist (Clayton cars) in bristol today. They were busy and full today so am plopping back tomorrow.I will be getting them to check the thing over.
Is there anything I should suggest or just let them work so I don't make them biased or put ideas in their heads.
Thanks for the ongoing interest.
