When I worked for Fiat UK I had one of the first in the country to put some miles on it and report any squeks/rattles/faults before it went to the press to try. A bit of a step down from my 159!talksthetorque said:
I take it you won the claim for constructive dismissal
The reason I stuck my hand up for it is because a) I was doing 40k miles a year so was ideal to put some miles on a car quickly and b) there was a lot of Alfa product due to be launched. Sadly I left only doing the Qubo
I kinda liked it, like someone said, it did what it said on the tin. Vheap motoring, it did a million miles to the gallon and you could cram it full of crap. I did get the piss taken out of me by all of my dealers when I visited though...
I'll be honest, I didn't know we had those either - I know they're quite popular in other markets though
There's just something about the saloon versions of those mid-size hatchbacks that just looks off - Previous gens of Focus have been the same, and the megane, another example
Not sure why it is, maybe because they're adapted from the hatch design, rather than designed as a saloon from the off?

I know an old boy who has a saloon Focus. I've known him since the 1980s.
He always drove a new Orion, latest plate through every generation and moved on through every generation of Focus saloon. He now has a black version of the car above.
I wonder what the psychology is behind it. Is a saloon a 'proper' car?
Maybe it's an older generation thing. Vauxhall seemed to sell plenty of Belmonts back then. Mainly in yellow I seem to remember.
