Cars you didn't know existed...
Discussion
One as a spec I didn't know existed, was idly browsing autotrader and found a Toureg with cloth seats, a manual gear box, no nav, basic A/C(not climate), no steering wheel controls. Can't imagine they sold many like that.
Here it is if anyone is interested.

Isn't a Legnum a Galant Estate?
Yep. Legnum is a Galant wagon, the one above is a Lancer wagon. Some quite different mechanical bits between the Evo and VR4 too... like the engine. Vast majority of VR4s and Evo wagons are auto though, hard to find a manual.Edited by GravelBen on Monday 21st December 00:17

This one isn't really, a car, its a spec I didn't know existed. The Nissan Micra/March, Cube and Mitsuoka Viewt, were or are available with e-4WD. The rear axle has an electric motor, powered from a generator on the engine, so no batteries, and no mechanical link from front to rear. The electric motor powers the rear wheels when the front wheels slip. It's been on these Nissan's for years, although it might be just the Japanese and American market. http://www.autoblog.com/2008/02/02/how-does-nissan...
I think I've seen references to this on some Cubes as well? BarbaricAvatar said:

ooh, pretty sure my car was made for this thread, i certainly hadn't heard of it before I chanced upon buying one.
Er.. it's a Mitsubishi Lancer. The only thing special about it is no one's tried to kit it out to look like an Evo. Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
