I went to the Pork museum in Stuttgart last week - for "research", for "work".

It's a tough job but someone's got to do it.

Anyway, they've got a Transaxle exhibition going on, and I saw three prototypes which never made the light of day which I've never heard of before:

LWB 928

924 Targa

A rear-engined, 4wd 944!

Is it just me or does that look very similar to a kia optima(the Fiat Tipo)? component sharing maybe??

The optima is bigger, the Tipo is a C-seg saloon, the Optima D-seg. The wheel base on the Optima is a good 17cm longer.

The style is similar though, Kia is really making strides in getting their cars looking modern and european(ish)
They are,

I actually think the Optima is a very good looking car

I thought the point of this thread was production cars that you never knew existed, there are thousands of concept cars or one-offs.

Best amend the thread title then. Are they cars? Yes. Did I know they existed? No. HOUSE.

Fair enough, I'm not arguing about it.

I live just down the road from the Porsche Factory, I guess you enjoyed the museum? The sculpture on the roundabout outside is pretty cool (same guy who does the Goodwood ones). Did you do the Mercedes museum as well?

South African T3 with 2.6 5 cyl Audi engine.
You'd want a big engine over there, to outrun all the lions, cheetahs and hippopotamuses.
And Oscar Pistorius.

Even by my standards, that was an unusually grumpy response - sorry.

Loved the statue on the roundabout - really cool. Also enjoyed the enormous plate of schitzel in the cafe. Yes, I did the Merc museum as well - some amazing exhibits (especially the wall of their winning racers from all the various formulae - awesome) but I found the place to be pretty dated compared to the Porsche museum.

The Fiat Qubo. I think I like it in a cheap practical car kind of way.

I do too, it's much more the successor to the Kangoo/Berlingo than the new models of those cars

When they designed it or named it?

I'm reckoning both.
