I was in Paris over the weekend and saw and odd black saloon which turned out to be a Renault Talisman. Did a quick search in previous posts and didn't see it... But it may have been posted before.

It looked quite smart in real life

I saw a few Renault Talismans (Talismen?) on my travels in France last week. Looked pretty smart. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renault_Talisman

I also saw a big Renault Espace style thing that wasn't called Espace.

I'm rather enjoying going to France and seeing stuff we don't get here, reminds me of going on holiday as a kid when you used to see all manner of local euro products not sent to the uk.

Saw a Renault Initiale today, French registered. I might have something wrong with me but a very good looking car.

Palio was certainly sold all over W Europe as the Weekend estate
You sure about that?

It was sold in emerging / developing markets in Europe, such as the former Eastern Bloc countries, Spain and Portugal.

We, and most of the developed markets, got the Marea Weekend (as a replacement for the Tempra Weekend).
Definitely sold here in Germany,Italy and France

Renault really are on a roll at the moment, the new Megane looks great, so does all the stuff we don't get here like the new espace, even the new scenic is appealing

Look how good the estate is

Initiale is Renaults top of the market brand.
So you will see a Renault Espace badged as an Initiale as it has an extra bit of fancy trim and a few bits and bobs.

wonderful is a very bold word to describe a family estate car.

Smh..

Wonderful for a 2cv is a bit of a bold word imo.
But me saying that would be wrong, wouldnt it? RS6? Wonderful. E63 Estate? Wonderful. XFR-S Sportbrake? Wonderful. M5 Touring? Wonderful. And so on.....

Nothing wrong with a Talisman? I don't understand your biased reasoning. It looks nice in my eyes, I would go as far to say it looks fantastic.

Some people on here...

it isn't a RS6, E63, XFR-S or a M5... it's a boggo diesel eurobox that is OK on the eye for what it is, but we all know it's going to be made with cheap bits and will break all the time. Like every other french car every (i used to sell them so this isn't a preconception). Crisp Winter days are wonderful. The miracle of child-birth is wonderful. Basking on a beach with a cocktail is wonderful. This car is not wonderful. Its nice, potentially.

Actually Renault's are pretty good for reliability these days. The depreciation will be horrific and it'll be worth 20p in 3 years time, but that's another story all together!
