The Impian raced for a couple of seasons in the BTCC with among others David Leslie (RIP) driving. Even though at the time the BTCC was considered a good way to sell cars and raise brand awareness, I have never ever seen one of these on the road.
I think Proton have given up on the UK (or the UK [dealers] have given up on them?), one media source claimed they sold zero cars either last year and/or the year before and the Proton UK website is down. What a contrast to the early 90s, they were at the time the fastest growing new brand in the UK until Daewoo launched over here.

That said though I think Tiff Needell drove one on old TG and quite like the Lotus-tuned chassis.

Well a bit of a quirk on the theme this. I knew of the Lexus LS600h, launched in 2007 / 2008. My boss had two and I think they are quite interesting. But I only realised this week they were 4x4. Eight years of admiring them but knowing this has made me look at them a little differently!

You've really only just seen a Tesla Model-S for the first time? yikes
It's Wales. Enough said.
Me neither, although unless I was paying enough attention I might confuse it at first glance for any other generic Lexus/Infiniti-type luxuro-barge.
In Essex they're bloody everywhere.

Same in Hampshire. There's generally about ten of them in the work car park.

I saw this today, for the first time, out on the road.
It's the Tesla Model S and it's pretty big - my mind was thinking Lexus, Aston, Rolls but I couldn't quite pinpoint what it was. It looked good though....but big.
I notice a few every week, I find then quite anonymous looking, they remind me of a Jaguar XF personally. But look nothing like a Rolls Royce though!

Fisker was hired as the designer for the Tesla Model S, if things had gone a different way, the Model S could have looked like this

As it was, things got lawsuity and then Fisker built it as his own car, which hasn't really gone well for him. http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1024507_tesla-s...

It depends on if the OP means "hasn't seen" or "didn't know existed". I see model s a couple of times a week now, sometimes a couple a day, but I have a long commute around the m25.

It would be odd if a regular on PH didn't know the model s existed

Its the market its appealing to. Most EV's look weird almost as if manufacturer want them to fail.

I like the recent facelift though, it looks much better without the faux grill.

Ditto small town in Sussex; saw one for the first time about a month ago. Though I just might not have noticed before as its a bit similar to a number of others.

After reading a recent jalopnik article I had no idea GM decided to badge the VX220/Opel speedster as the Daewoo Speedster in asian markets.

Another Peugeot. Had no idea 504's were produced until 2006, and in Argentina until 1999. Looks hideous though compared to the original.

Looks like they've stuck the 3 bar grille from a 205 in there hehe
