i seem to recall that the subaru impreza took a while to gain any interest from car enthusiasts so was off the radar and id certainly not heard of it until the mags picked up on it. they would have us believe these cars were mainly owned by farmers but would they have really had 2 litre turbo bonnet scooped bewinged saloons or wagons down on the farm?

I think the thread is mainly about production cars that we've never seen or heard of.

Subarus were popular in the dales in the 80s long before the Impreza and before Colin McRae, Gran Turismo etc made them popularWRX only came out a few years into the Impreza production too
