i seem to recall that the subaru impreza took a while to gain any interest from car enthusiasts so was off the radar and id certainly not heard of it until the mags picked up on it. they would have us believe these cars were mainly owned by farmers but would they have really had 2 litre turbo bonnet scooped bewinged saloons or wagons down on the farm?
Subarus were popular in the dales in the 80s long before the Impreza and before Colin McRae, Gran Turismo etc made them popularWRX only came out a few years into the Impreza production too

They also took the roof off a few XJC's

They were a large bodyshop and they accident repaired cars production line style, the building was long and thin, cars went in the back door, passed through the strip down bay, into repair, paint oven and out the other side into trim refit and final prep, from there out the front door onto the road.

That's a Trabant 601, but probably on other badge, Trabant was an interesting car, made of paper which was leaking and rusting as well
No, it's a Lloyd, made in Bremen (there was a UK Lloyd car company too, no relation)made of metal, but very early Lloyds were made of wood and fabric
Trabant was made of plastic, similar to bakelite, made from waste from dye industry with waste cotton fibres in it
not paper or cardboard

I was ten years old.
So was I, there or thereabouts. I was just surprised, without any real reason. I just kind of assumed that if you've heard of a 924, you've heard of a 924 turbo.Do you know of the 924 Carrera GT?
That's a turbo too
