Cars you didn't know existed...

That reminded me about the Nissan Leaf van I saw on Friday, front end of a Leaf and rear of a van. No idea on range as haven't checked. Although theoretically you could put more batteries in for a greater range that also increases weight which I'm guessing reduces payload weights.
I was just thinking about an electric van...Have a Nissan leaf turning up in about 10 days...checked out the van...found one locally...bought it.
Ex Japan, 3000 miles, probably ex demonstrator. £12,500 after reclaiming GST,
Range is realistically 70-80 miles.

They're quite... interesting, there's one knocking around my way (white with black vinyl stuck to it). Ugly little bleeder though, has none of the charm of the car it is trying to be reminiscent of though, too high, too narrow unlike the SC100 (which has a curious charm to it).caziques said:

As for the Volvo S90, it looks terrible.

It is.. although combining the upright chunkiness of the old Ignis as well

If I needed two cars I'd probably have an S90 (or maybe V90) as the main family wagon, and an Ignis 4x4 as the city runabout and ski trip car. I think they're both ace, much more interesting than most other options. I think they've done a great job, nice and chunky on the road.

I was quite surprised when i first saw the new ignis as well, but i like it. Its something else then the regular german(icly styled) hatches 90% of people drive, and pulls of a stimulating colour quite well
The volvo.. Quite the shame, since i really liked where they were going with the V40 and S60

They sure do, they had the Swift saloon as well, I think it only came in 1.6 4x4 flavour in the UK. There was one local driven by the biggest woman I've ever seen and the poor thing leaned badly to one side even when she wasn't in it any more, not unlike the person in this photo, it must attract them.Feck , i saluted that little Swift - it just shrugged the abuse off and was so calm and composed, handling brillianty to such hooligan abuse
