Anyone know what this is? I have seen a couple around here and it took a bit of searching find what it is.
It's not fast, something like a 1.6 and not the lightest car in the world. They went bust though, obviously didn't know the right people in their own country

It is now reborn as the MPM PS160 and they are now being built just down the road near Versailles.

It is an odd looking thing but not as bad in the flesh as the pictures.

ETA: Might have to take that back, 8500 euros (special offer price, normally 13k) is good value! The job offers part, not so much.

Excellent, I had no idea someone else had taken it on. Brave move! Seems they are using the same car with very few changes. It's nice to see new car companies and people giving it a go but it's shame they rarely make it stick, I'm not convinced the old mechanicals in this with the odd looks are going to keep this company afloat.

I guess France has a reasonable amount of history building cheap cars from tubular steel frames (the nasty little VSPs driven by elderly alcoholics) so the supplier base exists and it's not too hard to set up. The website says it uses an old Mitsubishi engine which is what a lot of Chinese car makers do and I'm sure there's a lot of parts bin stuff in there. I expect it'll sell OK in France to the patriotic semi-rural working class people who would previously have bought a cheap Clio and don't want a Dacia because it's made in Romania.ETA: Might have to take that back, 8500 euros (special offer price, normally 13k) is good value! It's a badge engineered VW Crafter - which is now no longer a rebadged Sprinter.I really like it - probably looks a bit odd in the real world.

I suppose you could throw in a Mazda lump if it went. Interesting bit in Wiki:"The sales were so disappointing that Citroën attempted to buy back and scrap each Birotor, as it did not want to support the model with spare parts. A few of these remarkable vehicles have nonetheless survived in the hands of collectors, many without titles for some time as Citroën did not want to recognize the cars."
Not sourced, so was it true?
