Ford Flex - didn't know they existed til I saw one ont the road yesterday.

I think it may be the love child of a Range Rover and a Bini Clubman?

Lots of these in the Dubai.

Seeming Ford owned JLR, I'd imagine it's the RRS chassis with a Ford dress on.

Loving the SP2....

What about the less pretty but even rarer VW Ventura Coupe, also from Brasil?

Passat Alltrack; just spotted on Autotrader (only one on there) thinking it was some obscure Spanish left hooker from the 90s.

Nope, brand spanking new:

cynical lot....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_D3_platform#D4

It's built on the Ford D4 platform, a revision of the D3 platform and nothing LR about it.

Nothing else uses modern LR underpinnings, they're on the same platform as the Explorer.

Ummm, size wise I'd say its standard SUV around the same size as a LR3 - I should look up the stats.

See them everywhere in the States, lots of them loaded with famlies in ski resorts.

Even more fugly in the flesh. Smaller than you'd imagine, too.

The Ventura just uses VW bits, not something VW made.

Is it specifically designed for 'halfwit midgets', or does it just attract them? wink

The VW Amorak, never knew these existed until one went past work at the weekend:

Great car, the most comfy pick-up i've ever tried.
Was alerted to the presence of one of these in my rear view mirror this morning, I think the driver was trying to get into the boot of my car.

Was the first time I'd seen one nevertheless.
