Renault Koleos.. Saw one the other day and had to Google what the hell it was, can#t recall ever seeing one before, odd car..
Joint venture between Renault and Samsung motors, We sold loads of them, actually a damn good car. Solid and relable and nicely specced inside too. My favourite was the 175dci 4x4 in Black. Lovely car.
As per my earlier post in this thread, I bought a new Koleos when I moved to Switzerland last year and sold it after about 7 months. It uses the drivetrain of a Nissan X-Trail, and is built in Korea, I bought it because it was stupidly cheap for the spec (4x4 2.0D auto with nav, BOSE stereo, 1/2 leather, climate, heated seats, cruise and I paid about £17k brand new) but in the end I got tired of the agricultural diesel engine having come from a diesel BMW X1 and petrol Grand Scenic.
It's not a bad car, but is so bland and unexciting there's just no reason to buy one other than price - I'd rather have had a Kia Sportage, Sjoda Yeti or Subaru Forester, but this was way cheaper and about the same price as a top spec Dacia Duster but with way more toys, a bigger engine and an auto box.

Kia Venga.
A totally dull 5 door hatch, bet you wouldn't even recognise one if you worked for Kia.
So bland it appears to not even be there.
I had one for about a month as temporary company car and really liked it! Considering I'd been driving a 15 year old 1.0 Polo for a year, this first step into a brand new car was marvelous A totally dull 5 door hatch, bet you wouldn't even recognise one if you worked for Kia.

Top trim level too, heated leather, pano roof etc. Nice little car, black too - I liked the inconspicuity. Not like the bright blue Renault Captur they gave me briefly last year

Very different to here - I live in West Berkshire, work in North Hampshire and travel to Dorset once or twice a week. I see a complete mix of all makes and models of car, but very few expensive cars like new RRs or Porsches etc. The only unusual bias is there are a lot of Land Rovers near where I live, but that's because the type of land and farming where I am (estate owned land, small fields with lots of copses and a scattering of token livestock - the estates buy their groundsmen LRs to look after things).
I live in West Berks as well there are transporter loads of Evoques on the a34 every day ! Must be selling really well overseas

It is certainly 80% owned by Renault with, I thought 10% by Korean banks who bailed it out and 10% by Samsung to allow the use of the name.
They started out as the Automotive sector of Samsung Electronics and then during the Asian fianacial crisis they were forced to fold the business and that is when Renault bought up the assets.
They were originally building Nissan based vehixcles, the original SM5 being heavily based on the Nissan Maxima with some styling cues from BMW which got them into some trouble. More recently they have come more fully under Renault control from a vehicle definition point of view.
The Koleas was an object lesson in how not to manage a vehicle project with overall project control in the hands of Renault with Nissan responsible for Engineering and RSM Busan Plant doing the vehicle assembly. What a nightmare!!!!
SSangYong is a completly different Korean company now owned by Mahindra & Mahindra from India
Toyota Mark X
Spotted it in one of those Russian dashcam videos and someone had asked in the comments what it was. The G's version actually looks pretty decent I think...
