I prefer that to the Navara style things you usually see.

Do these things still have Mercrdes-Benz engines?

Fabia saloon, saw one of these in Norwich the other day. Had to do a double take, they seem to have used the normal rear lights it looked very strange in person.

Similar to this, I saw a late nineties (I think) Clio saloon the other week. Probably French market only? It had French plates and I've never seen one before.
Edit: Just googled it and it was an old Renault 'Symbol':

Also I only found out in the last year that Vauxhall/Opel made a pretty little sports car in the sixties and seventies:

It is a sort of established fact that some markets, North Africa, Asia etc associate a higher class of vehicle with a 3 box configuration. While most of Europe centres on Hatchbacks you will occassinally see a strange 3 box version of a more familiar Hatchback.

Not a production car, a concept that didn't make it to production, but I haven't seen or heard of it before...

Rover Metro Scout. The one concept car is up for auction tomorrow.

I can’t help but feel that Europe is also culpable in the mess of some countries' car design. This “beauty,” was:

1 Designed by Ken Greenley and
2 “received the Auto Design Award from the Birmingham Auto Show.”

It’s not a looker:

He also designed the Ssangyong Rhodius but I haven’t included a picture as we all know what it is and to needlessly include it might put some off their lunch.

"Styled by legendary car designer Giorgetto Giugiaro, Korando is a true blend of Italian form and Korean function. The front end styling features an elegant grille and modern projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights to give a sharp contemporary look."

He must have been drunk, high and having off with 2 bunga bunga girls all at the same time while designing that.

Mum had the daewoo version, was a decent car to be fair. Ugly as st but comfortable enough for my 10 year old self.
Towed trailers, went off-road, drove Scotland to England a few times etc. Got parked up when the 4wd wouldn't engage and then the turbo went.

One was behind me today, driver must have been simple, I pulled over for an ambulance, he overtook, realised and stopped alongside me, I suppose you have to be a certain person to buy one. I was following one a couple of years ago on a 60 road and he had his roof down, imagine my surprise when he lost his hairpiece.

Seems a bit niche - only people I can imagine wanting one would be people who like metros and own a pet giraffe
