What on earth is the point in that extra side-door meant to be?

Probably the best looking of the entire MINI range though, to me.

Regarding the door, I guess keeping it over from the Clubman is cheaper than losing it altogether.

Probably, but it does look a bit daft. biggrin

I'm surprised they couldn't make it open properly into the load area, which might actually have been moderately useful.

I think that's really cool and the best Mini variant so far! I do think omitting the Cooper SD is a bit thick, though. That's the one I would have had!

Quite possibly the most credible car in Mini's entire range.

I want a pickup version:
My sister is a couple of years older than me. When she was a sixth-former, two of the men/boys in her year had the original mini vans. One thing sticks in my mind - one of those boys always kept a bale of straw in the back of his - no idea why - and you'd sometimes see a sixth-form girl picking a piece of straw out of her hair and know exactly where she'd just been. Dead cert to make a priapic 15 year old boy start daydreaming.

Thank god I never saw my sister picking straw out of her hair ...

They have just as many pistons as cars, don't they?

Considering the US market is wild about pickups they'd be stupid not to.

Like it.

Would like one with little steel wheels and vinyl seats.
I went with RS turbo Recaros and too many 12" subs but it was the late 90s. More was more! biggrin

The extra door gives access to the area behind the seats - the rear footwell can hold a lot of crap.

Yes, it'll look great with a gun rack and spots, parked up between F150s...

I bet you one hundred pounds they sell zero outside California biggrin

That. Is. Cool.

I'm surprised the haters haven't voiced their nonsense yet.
Because of all the recent brand abomination and tawdry marketing led nonense, perhaps this one makes some sense tongue out

Yes and they don't have one which reaches to the front either. Weird design wink

I wouldn't choose to drive a Mini but I do like this, though I would struggle to explain why smile

I assume there's no Cooper S or SD as they'd out perform their fully seated equals?

I was in San Francisco a month ago and the only car that seemed to outnumber the Mini was the Prius. A fair few Fiat 500s around too, mostly with that big sunroof option.
